A Newsletter of Department of Computer Engineering Message From Head of The Department It is with great enthusiasm that we get before you the 12 th issue of Reflection. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Mr. B.Y.Pawar for his efforts and dedication in publishing Reflection. This internal newsletter aims to put in front of you the achievements of the staff and stu- dents and various activities conducted during the semester. Message From Head of The Department

It is with great enthusiasm that we get before you the 12th issue of Reflection. I would like

BE Student Placement

Departmental Events 1. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the students of T.E. Computer on the topic

of “Cyber security” on 14th July 2015. The speaker for the session was Mr.

R Shaikh , Chief Technology officer, Information security Researcher, cyber

law consultant , Pristine Infosolutions. The Speaker explained need of cyber

security.

2. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the students of B.E. Computer on the topic

of “Basic Expectation of Corporate” on 23rd July 2015. The speaker for the

session was Mr. Saurabh Shah, Sr. HR Manager , Capita, Pune. The Speaker

enlightens students with Team work, Group Work , Time Management and

Commitment Management.

3. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the students of B. E. Computer on the top-

ic of “Project sponsorship and Placement” on 28th July 2015. The speaker

for the session Mr. Parth Dosh, Opulent Infotech Pvt Ltd , Pune. The Speaker

gave information about importance of sponsored Project.

4. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the students of S E. Computer on the topic

of “Basic of Python” on 19th Aug 2015. The speaker for the session was Mr.

Jayesh Dhamunshe, Sr Software Engineer at Cybage Software Pvt Ltd , Pune.

The Speaker enlightens students with Python Technology.

5. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the students of S. E., T.E & B.E Comput-

er on the topic of “'MID-TECH” on 21st August 2015. The speaker for the

session was Dr. Hrishikesh Tekade , B. J Medical college , Pune.

6. A Guest Lecture was arranged for the students of M.E & B. E. Computer on

the topic of “Mathematical model ” on 12th Sept 2015. The speaker for the

session was Dr. Manisha Nene (DIAT, Pune) .

7. A one day workshop was arranged for the students of S.E. Computer on the topic of “Basics of Python” on 22th Sept 2015. The speaker for the session was Mr. Vivekanand Khade (Entercoms private ltd).

International Yoga Day: The celebration of International Day of Yoga started at 8.30 a.m. and concluded at 11.00 a.m. Principal Dr. A. A. Keste, Dr. V. N. Raibhole, Registrar Mr. V. A. Rahane, Prof. P. B. Chopade & Prof. V. N. Chougule, Prof. P. N. Kota graced the occasion. Staffs and students from all three department participated with enthusiasm. Total 45 participants participated in this celebration. For this program we invited Yoga teachers from Swanand Seva Trust Purandar, Pune The program started with welcome of guest by Principal. Mrs. Madhuri Shelar has started this event with the speech containing importance of Yoga. After this participant practices Yoga Asans and

Surya Namaskar under the guidance of Yoga teacher Mr. Pratap Dumbare and his team.

Independence Day: On the occasion of 69th Independence day, flag hoisting was held on 15th August 2015 at 7:50

AM. Outcome of this celebration is students will develop a sense of responsibility and accounta-

bility for their actions and performance. Also Students will be able to use technology to interact

and provide service to the society. The objective of this program is to salute our martyrs who laid

their lives for the defense of the country and to contribute to the social and cultural forum for the

Indian community. It also contribute to humanitarian causes.

Sadbhavana Diwas: Sadbhavana Day was celebrated on 20th August 2015 at 9.50 am, All the students, teaching and

non-teaching staff of MESCOE were present for “Sadbhavana Day Pledge” taking ceremony

on the occasion of “Sadbhavana Diwas”. Principal Dr. A. A. Keste addressed the gathered people

and all students, teaching and non-teaching staff took pledge. The objective of this program is to

promote national integration & communal harmony among people of all religions, languages

and regions. Also to abstain from violence .

Teachers Day: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day on 5th Sep 2015, B.E Computer Engineering Students con-

ducted Lectures on T.E from 8.00 am to 10.00 am. Every Teacher felicited with Greeting Cards

made by B.E students. B.E Students have made a video which includes all staff members photos

to express role of teacher in Students life.

Engineers Day: On the occasion of Engineer’s Day on 15th Sep 2015 An inter-college technical event/

competition organized by ACE (The Association of Computer Engineers) of the Computer

Department. Four different events run in parallel over the course of a day. Each event is managed

by 2 coordinators, 4 or more volunteers as well as 1 teacher/staff coordinators.

The Department organized: An intra-college poster presentation competition organized by ACE (The Association of Computer Engineers) of the Computer Department on 7th July 2015.

Target Audience: S.E, T.E, B.E students of MESCOE .

Activity Report: The Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) of the Computer Engineering

Department has organized Poster Presentation Competition to contribute to "Digital India Week"

Program announced by honorable Prime Minister of India to empower citizens with the use of

Information Technology.

The Event commenced with inauguration by the hands of the Principal, Dr. A.A Keste, in the

presence of the Dr. V.N.Raibhole Vice Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) N. F. Shaikh, Mr. V.A. Rahane,

Staff and Students of MESCOE. This event provided opportunities for students to present their

ideas and views for modern digital technologies. Students have prepared posters for visualization

of significance and use of Modern Digital Technologies. Among the all posters one poster pre-

pared by Mr. Mayank Sharma ( TE Computer) is selected as a best poster. Prof. P. N. Kota and

Prof Kuldeep Mahajan were judges for the Competition

The Department organized: Inauguration of Mozilla Firefox Club.

Target Audience: All Students & Faculties from Department of Computer Engineering .

Activity Report : A Successful launch of the Mozilla firefox club mescoe on 10th July 2015. This Event was well organized by the Mozilla firefox club Student Ambassador’s (FSA's). The basic idea to launch this club was to make students aware of Mozilla's open sourcing. Basically it is an open source community which helps users like us to develop various web based and of course system manageable applications. One can specifically code and develop or modify appli-cations so as being the co-ordination team we organized this seminar to share the remarkable ideas on further development in Mozilla..

ALPHA Quest - 2015

Target Audience: S.E , T.E & B.E Students from other college.

Activity Report : An inter-college technical event/competition organized by ACE of the Com-

puter Department. Four different events run in parallel over the course of a day. Each event is

event commenced with inauguration by the hands of the Principal Dr. A. A. Keste ,Vice Princi-

ple Dr. V. N. Raibhole , Head of Department Dr. (Mrs.) N. F. Shaikh in the presence of the staff

and the student coordinators. This was followed by rounds of events running simultaneously in

different class. The four events for the day were: Mind Works a memory game, Word War

Event to test participant’s confidence, expression and power to voice their ideas, Fix to Guess
