The Paris Food Pass experience
Every year, more than 30 millionpersons have the chance to visitParis. Museums, monuments, exhibitions… There are manyreasons to visit this city. If theFrench capital has many assets, itsgastronomic heritage is probablyone of the biggest. The vibrantneighborhood are generally full ofcharming food stores likefromageries, boucheries, boulangeries… Le Food Trip offersthe opportunity to explore thisheritage through the first self-guided food tour concept.
As a booklet + an app, the ParisFood Passport includes 6 or 12mouth-watering products offeredby passionate and welcoming localartisans. From the rue Montorgueilto the rue des Martyrs, users havethe opportunity to discover variousproducts selected by our team.
« An original & simple way to discover the city and experience the local food »
The Paris Food Passport was bornfrom a simple observation: manytourists do not have theopportunity to discover the "real"food stores gems who are oftenlocated in small streets. Theseartisans and shop owners, who areoften praised by the inhabitants oftheir neighborhoods, do not havethe chance to be in touch with thetravelers.
The Paris Food Passport aims tocreate a real link between touristsand local merchants, twopopulations made for each other.
Passion and savoir-faire
The Paris Food Passport is first and foremost ahuman experience that allows you to meetlocal food artisans. The artisans offering atasting as part of the pass are chosen througha selection process with two main criteria.
The first one is the passion. The Food Tripteam meets many artisans but selects onlythose who have a real facility to exchange andcommunicate their passion. Obviously, beingable to speak English is a real prerequisite. Weare looking to create a real exchange betweencurious travelers and passionate local artisans.
The second criteria is the quality of theproducts offered by retailers. We use locals’recommendation to make sure we select placesfrequently visited by parisians, where quality isindisputable.

Food, Culture and Authenticity
Mass tourism comes to an end : travel is nowassociated with authenticity, discovery andexclusivity. Living like a local is a motto formany travelers, and it necessarily goesthrough local gastronomy. While restaurantaggregators and other booking applicationscan distinguish the best establishments, itdoes not prevent people from falling intotourist traps.
The Paris Food Passport is a uniqueexperience to discover Parisian gastronomy, through the meeting of local artisans. 85% offoreign tourists see Paris as a gastronomiccity and they are not mistaken: it is one of thecity's main assets!
However, this reputation carries anambivalence: The gastronomie française isoften perceived as posh, complex andexpensive. The French culinary heritage isactually much larger: it is worth going beyondthis bias to discover the real and traditionalheritage composed by many different terroirs.
A unique experience to
discover the local gastronomy
