The Georgian mansion completes the scene with its playful battlements, towering turrets, elegant, arched windows and warm redbrick façade.
The house’s history is equally colourful. Originally built in around 1441, the house, has changed hands between nobles, lords and ladies throughout the centuries. These days, Theobalds Park offers much more than fairy tale beauty and historic grandeur. Here, it’s the little details that make all the difference and our experienced team will help plan everything to perfection.

Theobalds Park is all about space, style and flexibility, from an intimate gathering to up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast. We have the magnificent Mansion House, a wonderful setting, rich in period features, alternatively there is the recently restored Ridings Barn.
Outside, the stunning grounds make a beautiful setting for your photographs. While you capture the moment, we’ll host your drinks reception on the terrace and keep the conversation flowing with tall Pimms, classic Kir Royales and decadent Bellinis as your guests enjoy a string quartet – or a steel band.

Theobalds Park is all about exceptional produce, farm-fresh ingredients and flexible options: enjoy the delicate spices of Mediterranean vegetables presented on a bed of basil linguine, or the full, fresh flavours of British seafood in a shallot vinaigrette. Finish with light yet lavish tiramisu with mascarpone or spectacular ice-cream sundaes – the possibilities are endless.
Our head chef is looking forward to meeting with you to talk through your ideas and talk through the best seasonal produce available. No meal would be complete without excellent wines and Champagne and we offer some of the finest vintages from French chateaux, as well as some lesser-known gems from around the world.
As the stars come out, we can help boost the energy levels with a wide selection of fine cheeses or, for something out of the ordinary, hearty hot dogs.

We have 141 spacious en-suite bedrooms for your family and friends. Those home comforts are never far away. You’ll find flat screen TVs and all the latest mod cons. But after a day of excitement, most guests head straight for the large inviting beds, complete with gorgeous soft linens.
After a long lie-in, meet up and relive those moments over our breakfast of award-winning apple juices, local bacon and sausages, free-range eggs and freshly-ground coffee.
