FROM ARCHAEOLOGY TO CONSERVATION OF THE MONUMENTS AND THE MANAGEMENT
OF CULTURAL HERITAGE
The Summer School is part of a process of conservation and promotion of the Tizzano Castle. The participants will be part of this process with the people who worked to the project since 2002 and with the new research group: University of Parma -SPHERA Project, Spin-off ATS (UNISI) and ZENITH Ingegneria (UNIFE), very important company into the new technologies applied to Cultural Heritage besides specialists in archaeology and conservation.

The 1st Summer School in archaeology and architecture at the Castle is open to students, graduates and professionals interested in the most advanced 2D and 3D methodologies applied to the Cultural Heritage: -both terrestrial and drone supported photogrammetric survey; -laser scanner survey; -2D and 3D processing and visualization of the collected data In addition to the knowledge of the Castle’s history, recently investigated through two seasons of archaeological excavation, the participants will attend lectures, labs and on-site seminars and develop technical skills on all the applied methodologies. The summer school will provide the students with an unrepeatable experience that will allow them to know the Val Parma landscape (MAB Unesco reserve).
