Music as we Gather Praise Him arranged by Rick Powell

Greeting GiGi Warren Associate Pastor, Ben Hill UMC Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Beloved, as Christ is risen, so shall we rise. As Christ lives, so shall we live forever in Him. Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Hymn Sing With All the Saints in Glory HYMN TO JOY

Sing with all the saints in glory; sing the resurrection song!Death and sorrow, earth’s dark story, to the former days belong.

All around the clouds are breaking, soon the storms of time shall cease;in God’s likeness we, awaking, know the everlasting peace.

O what glory, far exceeding all that eye has yet perceived! Holiest hearts, for ages pleading, never that full joy conceived.

God has promised, Christ prepared it, there on high our welcome waits.Every humble spirit shares it; Christ has passed th’eternal gates.

Life eternal! Heaven rejoices: Jesus lives, who once was dead.Join we now the deathless voices; child of God, lift up your head!

Patriarchs from distant ages, saints all longing for their heaven,prophets, psalmists, seers and sages, all await the glory given.

Life eternal! O what wonders crowd on faith; what joy unknown,when, amidst earth’s closing thunders, saints shall stand before the throne!

O to enter that bright portal, see that glowing firmament;know with thee, O God Immortal, “Jesus Christ whom thou has sent!”

Prayer The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us pray. Most glorious Lord of Life, by the resurrection of Christ You brought the promise of new life to the whole of creation. In this hour of worship may we be strengthened in that promise and throughout our days may we live in that promise with the blessed saints who forever sing your praise, You who live and reign with the Holy Spirit, One God forever. Amen.

Hymn I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light HOUSTON(The choir will sing the first stanza; the assembly, stanzas 2 and 3)

I want to walk as a child of the light. I want to follow Jesus.

God sent the stars to give light to the world. The star of my life is Jesus. Refrain: In him there is no darkness at all. The night and the day are both alike. The Lamb is the light of the city of God. Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus.

I’m want to see the brightness of God. I want to look at Jesus. Clear Sun of Righteousness, shine on my path, and show me the way to the Father. Refrain:

I’m looking for the coming of Christ. I want to be with Jesus. When we have run with patience the race, we shall know the joy of Jesus. Refrain:

Naming of the Honored Dead Jamie Jenkins Executive Assistant to the Bishop Jane Finley Conference Lay Leader (Family and friends are invited to stand as their loved one is named.)

Prayer Bishop Watson Let us pray: Eternal God, We praise you for the great company of all those who have finished their course in faith and now rest from their labor. Especially we praise you for these servants of the North Georgia Annual Conference whom you have graciously received into your presence. Grant them your peace. Let perpetual light shine upon them; and help us so to believe where we have not seen, that your presence may lead us through our years, and bring us at last with them into the joy of your home not made with hands but eternal in the heavens; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray. . . .

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Offering Robert Naylor Imagine No Malaria, Communications Coordinator

Offertory Anthem This Little Light of Mine arr. Mark Patterson

Prayer of Thanksgiving Bishop Watson God of love, we thank you for all with which you have blessed us; for the gift of joy in days of health and strength, and for the gifts of your abiding presence and promise in days of pain and grief. We praise you for home and friends, and for our baptism and place in your church with all who have faithfully lived and died. Above all else we thank you for Jesus, who knew our joys and our griefs, who died our death and rose for our sake, and who lives and prays for us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Hymn For All the Saints SINE NOMINE

For all the saints who from their labors rest,who thee by faith before the world confessed,

thy name, O Jesus, be forever blessed. Alleluia, Alleluia!

Thou wast their rock, their fortress and their might;thou, Lord, their captain in the well-fought fight;

thou, in the darkness drear, their one true light. Alleluia, Alleluia!

O may thy soldiers, faithful, true and bold,fight as the saints who nobly fought of old,

and win with them the victor’s crown of gold. Alleluia, Alleluia!

O blest communion, fellowship divine!We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;

yet all are one in thee, for all are thine. Alleluia, Alleluia!

And when the fight is fierce, the warfare long,steals on the ear the distant triumph song,

and hearts are brave again, and arms are strong. Alleluia, Alleluia!

From earth’s wide bounds, from ocean’s furthest coast,through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,

singing to Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Alleluia, Alleluia! Text: William W. How, 1864 (Heb. 12:1)
