Child Outcomes Summary Child Outcomes Summary (COS) (COS)

Integrate the three early childhood outcomes/COS framework throughout the IFSP process to improve child, family, and programmatic results.

Full Statewide implementation of the COS using the new Strengths and Needs Summary – Part IIIA of the IFSP.

Provide training and technical assistance (Winter/Spring 1012) on revised IFSP Outcomes Wizard with additional tools and resources (i.e., electronic crosswalk of Healthy Beginnings) to strengthen the COS process and development of functional outcomes.

Utilize available COS reports generated through the web-based IFSP for decision-making at the individual child/family level, local program level and State level (Fall 2011 release).

Require local implementation of COS Training of Trainers model (CSPD plan in FY2013 CLIG).

Continue to assess local needs to determine future Statewide professional development on the online/offline IFSP and integration of Child Outcomes Summary into the IFSP process.
