1. Background

Speaking is one of important skills for student. In indonesian, most of student cant speak english fluetly because they feel so shy or afraid if they are speaking english with their friends. But the student can understand if the other people is talking about anything with them. They know about structure and grammar of english but they cannot arrange words of english so that it makes when the student speak english unclearly. Therefore, in this program is made for student so making student can speak english fluetly until they doesnt feel shy or afraid about grammar or structure again. And making they are confident when they are speaking english with their friends.

1.1 Setting/ context

Sekayu is one of large country in south sumatera. there are some populer school such as MAN 3 Sekayu. I think it is important to a popular school has a good program to develop skill of student especially speaking english. How the student can speak english fluetly without feeling shy or afraid. It is important to student can speak english because in this era, the company or institution of goverment need a smart people espcially speaking english. And in this school has modern facilities to develop the skill of students. I will give some tricks to motivate the student so they can speak english fluetly but they must to practise more and more. Therefore, the tittle of the syllabus is A Speaking English Program For Student Senior High School for develop their skill of speaking english and making this program be fun.

1.2 Target learners

This program focuses on speaking english for student senior high school in MAN 3 Sekayu. They are students in the X grade. The reasons for selecting this school is because i am from sekayu and my family live there. My house is in front of that school so when i teach there,so i could get access easily and cant be late. And then i graduated from in MAN 3 Sekayu too. So i will give the best ways or tricks so the student can be interest to study english especially speaking very well. The underlying assumption for this program is that the students will be interest more and be more motivated to join a speaking program. And the students will be more confident to speak english with their friends especially in outside class. Hopefully, by attending this program they will be able to develop their english and they can practise more and more in class and outside class.

1.3 Main Aims

The overall aims of this program are communicative. So the students can speak english fluetly without feeling afraid or shy with other people. And the second aim is motivation. Giving motivation that they can speak english fluetly if they study or practice more n more. And they feel more confident and interest to learn about english. So they can teach students in wherever effectively in the future.

2 Syllabus frameworkA syllabus describes the major elements that will be used in planning a language course and provides the basic for its instructional focus and content. The syllabus could be : Situational syllabus : situations form organizing principle sequenced by the likehood learners will encounter them. Functional syllabus : functions as (identifying, reporting, correcting) are organizing principle sequenced by some senses of chronology or usefulness of each function. Topical syllabus : organized around diffrent topics and how to talk about them in english. Task-based syllabus : activity-based categories such as ( following direction or instructions) serve so the basic for organization.

3 Objectives

The program objectives for this group of students are :

a) To enable them speak english fluetly and confident in and outside the classroom.b) To enable to exchange ( such as expressing dislike and like) information about like and dislikec) To enable to introduce ( introducing my self and others) themselves and someone to other people.d) To enable to ask or talk ( expressing preferences) about preferences in various oral interactions especially on experiences on last holiday.e) To enable to give or make ( giving suggestion)suggestion to other people for solving their problems.f) To enable to give and practise (asking pemission)asking permission to do something. g) To introduce effective communication method to them that will enable them to use english effectively in their workplace.

4 Approach and Tasks Used In The Sllabus

4.1 communicative approachCommunicative approach is an approach to the teaching of second and foreign languages that emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of learning a language. In this approach Focuses on language as a medium of communication. Recognises that all communication has a social purpose - learner has something to say or find out. And this is one of way teacher can focus the teaching of the foreigh language in the classroom in such a way that student can communicate in a conscious way, taking into account their real experiences. Students and teacher can speak or talking about material together. The students explain and the teacher too. There is no silent way for teacher and student. It means that an introduction to the communicative approach for teacher and teachers in training who want to provide opportunities in the classroom for their student to engage in teal life communication in target language. Making a dialog or example of exercise in stand in front of the class is that can be used with communicative approach are described, and sources of appropriate material are provided. 4.2 Communicative Tasks

This syllabus uses communicative task that involve students in comprehending, manipulating, producing or interacting in english while their attention focuses on meaning rather than form. The following tasks : matching tasksThese tasks involve students in matching different piece of information to form a whole. E.g : two students must to match two information in ballon a to ballon b or square a to squre b. Problem solving taskStudents are given a problem and setofinformation. They must arrive at solution to the problem. There is generally a single solution of outcome. Information gap tasksThese task are tasks in which one student or group of students has one set of information, and another student or group has a complementary set of information. They must negotiate and find out what the other partys information is in order to complete an activity. Dialogs tasksSome dialogs tasks which must be answered by student and according to the expression. Decision making taskStudents are given a problem for which there are a number of possible outcomes and they must choose one through negotiation and discussion. Discuss groupThis task are which a group give a problem from teacher and one of them must to give respons and opinion and then the other group must to give opinion too.

5 Assessment planIn order to collect information on students language proficiency, i will carry out an assessment during at the end of the program. The following are things to assess : Presentation Oral test Placement test

Making a dialogs and students looking for which the sentence of permission. Telling about this expressing such as pemission do something and the rensponses. Making a game for asking permission and the answer must choose politely or strongly. Making a group disccuss to making a sentence of asking permission. Auxiliary verb Being able to know about asking permission Knowing about the strongly and politely responses. Talking about this ekpression in coversation in class or outside class

5 thMaking suggestions

Talking about a problem and the student give their suggestion Making a game such as two squre and 1 squre is the problem and student must to match in squre in 2. Gerund Infinitive

Give advice or suggest to other people which have problem. Kowing about expression suggestion, make suggestion, accept and reject suggestion.

Sometimes we need to state a preference when someone makes a suggestion, offers something or asks your opinion about what to do. Often people are asking for your opinion and you can state your preference freely, other times, people have made an offer and you need to state a preference politely if you do not want to do what has been suggested, or would rather do something else.
