This means that in addition to our Zodiac animal signall of us are influenced by our lunar mansion, which is symbolically
represented by one of the 28 animals that correspond to the28 days in a typical month! To undertake lunar mansion analysis
you first need to determine your day animal, which can beworked out using your date of birth.
So there are four families – the Family of the Green Dragon, the Black Tortoise,The White Tiger and TheCrimson Phoenix and with each family comes 7 Sky Animals.To know which family you belong to andyour personal Sky Animal requires a specific formula based on your day and year of birth.
To undertake your Lunar Mansion Analysis follow the instructions below using the attached chartsand formula to determine your Day Animal. Once you know which sky animal you are, read moreabout your traits and lunar mansion horoscope in the following pages.
Sound complicated? Don’t worry – I’ve made this very easy for you. Just refer to the step-by-stepinstructions that follow:
EXAMPLE:We will use January 12, 1984, as your day of birth in this example.
1. From Table 1 below get the corresponding number for your month and year below. Checking thistable you will see that the number to the far right for January is 27 and the number for the year1984 is 25. When checking your month number just follow over to the far right of the line that hasthe name of the month on it although there appear to be two lines for each month. So June is 10and September is 18 and so on. OK?
2. Next add the numbers of the month and the year together.So in our example of January 12,1984,we add 27 + 25 = 52.
3. Then add your day of birth to this number… so if your birthday is January 12 we add 12 to thisnumber. 12 + 52 = 64
4. Now check to see if your year of birth, 1984 for example, is a leap year. It is! The leap years on thechart are marked with an asterisk so you can easily check this point. So here is the next step; if itis a leap year and you were born after March 1 then add 1 (one) to the number 64. However,since you were born on the 12th of January, which is before March 1, you do not have to addanything and your number is still 64.
5. The Final Step: If your number is more than 56 you must subtract 56 from your number. In thiscase 64 is more than 56 so subtract 56 from 64. 64 - 56 = 8
If the number is more than 28 but not more than 56 (29 to 56) you must subtract 28 from yournumber. For example if your total was 38 you must subtract 28 from 38. 38 - 28 = 10
If your number is 28 or less (1 to 28) then you do not have to do anything – that is yournumber.
6. Now check Table 2 – The 28 Animals of the Four Constellations and match your number to yourSky Animal and Family House. In our example above for January 12, 1984, we determined thatyour Sky Animal number is 8.Checking Table 2 you will see that your Sky Animal is the Unicorn andyou belong to the Constellation of the Black Tortoise of the Northern Skies.You belong to theconstellation of the season of winter. Meanwhile, turning back to our Chinese astrology your dateof birth, January 12, 1984, indicates you are a Water Boar. This indicates that your day and yearhave excellent compatibility being ruled by the element of Water.
The Sky Unicorn enjoys a life of ease and luxury and is blessed with the power of insight.
