  • Si Kikong Langgam Isang araw na umuulan, naghanap si Kiko ng

    pagkain para sa kanyang pamilya. Nang hindi

    nagtagal, nakakita si Kiko ng pwede nilang makain.

    Binuhat ni Kiko ang nakitang pagkain at ito’y umuwi

    na. Nang marating na niya ang ilog, umapaw na ang

    tubig nito.

    “Naku! Naku! Tumaas na ang tubig ng ilog!”

    sigaw ni Kiko. Habang naghihintay si Kiko na huhupa

    ang tubig sa ilog, nakita niya si Daga.

  • “Kaibigan, pwede bang sumakay sa likod mo?”

    tanong ni Kiko.

    “Pasensiya na kaibigan, nagmamadali ako.”

    sagot ni Daga.

    Nag-isip si Kiko ng magandang paraan para

    makatawid sa ilog. Kumuha siya ng dahon ng

    punongkahoy na ginamit niyang bangka. Nang

    makarating siya sa gitna ng ilog, biglang lumakas ang

    agos ng tubig. Nakakita siya ng lumulutang na maliit

    na sanga ng kahoy. Ito ang ginamit na pangsagwan.

    Nakauwi si Kiko sa kanilang bahay na walang

    masamang nangyari sa kanya.
