lodge offers many exciting activities and adventures in its

natural, pristine environment. The Lodge is set within its own

10,000 hectare private concession area of the world famous

Kruger National Park and has been carefully designed and built

in keeping with eco-sensitive policies, to ensure that there is

little impact on the natural environment, as guests will bear

witness to artifacts discovered during the building program.

Rovers, accompanied by experienced rangers and

trackers who are extremely knowledgeable on the

African bush and its species. Afternoon drives include

sundowners (refreshments) while you enjoy the glorious

African sunset. Walking safaris are also available at

your request. Additionally, nocturnal animal viewings from the grounds of the lodge, and daily

excursions to a nearby village where you can experience the authentic lifestyles of an African

bush tribe can be arranged for you if you are interested.

Each day of your stay, you will experience magnificent cuisine,

freshly prepared to each guest’s satisfaction by the lodge chefs,

from a menu as extensive as the Africa wilderness. With an air of

opulence befitting royalty, your Lodge is the perfect African

utopia where guests will find serenity. Epitomizing traditional

African hospitality and personal silver service to compliment your

meal, visitors are guaranteed an African Safari experience of a

lifetime!

departing on your first game drive of your stay. Return

to the lodge for breakfast and then spend the rest of your

morning relaxing at the lodge swimming pool,

overlooking the savanna. After lunch, depart on an

afternoon game drive, followed by a lavish dinner in the

evening.

Days Five and Six: Kruger National Park- For

the next two days, you will enjoy a daily program of safari drives, breakfast, lunch and dinner,

similar to your first day at the lodge. Other services of the lodge that you may include are: a

Nomadic Spa experience - relaxing spa treatments catered in the privacy of your own suite; bird-

watching expeditions; and a self-drive experience, driving into Kruger National Park on your

own.

Days Seven through Ten: Private Game Reserve- After your final game drive and

breakfast, finalize your check-out with the lodge staff. You will shortly be met and transferred to

your next safari experience, located on the Sabi Sands.

The Game Lodge is the epitome of a fully inclusive,

diverse African wildlife and cultural experience.

Memorable and exciting big game viewing and a

fascinating insight into the local tribal customs of the

Shangaan people, will form part of your safari

experience. The mission of the lodge is to exceed, in

every respect, their guests’ expectations of quality game

viewing, fine hospitality, personal service and

exceptional cuisine. Savanna aims to make each and every guest feel special and to give their

guests the best game viewing experience imaginable!

Your Executive suite will combine the romance of a tented roof, with

the sophistication of a permanent structure that ensures the utmost

luxury and privacy, complete with your very own private deck and

plunge pool. From the comfort of the main lodge, guests may view

some of Africa’s most impressive wildlife. The lounge and dining

room is an impressive building under thatch, which is perfectly

positioned with a view of the beautiful swimming pool and waterhole.

The open air boma (barbeque pit) creates a warm, friendly atmosphere

where guest can enjoy a traditional African meal under the stars. And

you can relax and enjoy a rejuvenating treatment in the privacy of

your suite, anytime.

** For the next five days, enjoy a daily program of safari drives,

breakfast, lunch and dinner, similar to your first lodge experience.

By splitting up your time between Kruger National Park and Sabi

Sands, you will have the chance to discover a different safari

program in a much more diverse concession area. Most animals of

the safari ranges congregate in just one select concession area, so

by moving to a different, private concession area, you will have the

distinct opportunity of viewing a broader range of animals on full

view to you from both your private Executive suite and the Savanna’s state-of-the-art safari

vehicles. Our seasoned, professional travel partners in South Africa highly recommend this

experience to you – please let your Wine Tours of the World representative know if this is a

suitable addition to your travel plans while in South Africa.

Day Eleven: Return to Johannesburg- After

your final early game drive and breakfast, you will be

met and transferred to Hoedspruit Airport to coordinate

with your return flight to Johannesburg, where you will

enjoy your final night in South Africa. Upon arrival

into Johannesburg, you will be greeted and transferred

to an incredible five-star hotel located in the exclusive

Sandhurst suburb of Sandton, where you are invited to

spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Beginning with your hotel reception at check-in, you will discover that this superb hotel makes a

word-class statement of ethnic African elegance, combined with personalized attention to every

exacting detail. The hotel (a former residence) has witnessed history within its walls as it

became home to Nelson Mandela after he was

released from prison. It was during this time that

Mandela used the serene setting of this resort and spa

to edit his autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom.”

Set upon six acres of lushly landscaped gardens, the

hotel has been designed to capture and embrace its

natural environment. One of the design themes is the

extensive use of water, and the central point of the

water theme is the magnificent 920 square meter swimming pool. The hotel boasts 24 suites of

various sizes, and all suites incorporate a strong element of African art and latticed shutters

covering large bay windows, looking onto tranquil gardens and the hotel’s incredible pool.

Relax, settle in, and relish the final moments of your journey to South Africa, and be sure to

make it a memorable one!
