CHAIRMAN’SPROFILEBorn on 7th December, 1943 in the village of Himatsar in Bikaner, Rajasthan, Dr. Ram Bajaj is the sixth son of Late Seth Jagannathji Bajaj and Late Smt. Champa Devi Bajaj.

Seth Jagannathji Bajaj was a very famous personality in Rajasthan who had spent his entire life in upliftment of Dalits and Harijans and is still remembered in his village for all his deeds and works done. Dr. Ram Bajaj inherited from his father all his cultural values and the direction, leading to his success. The Social Welfare, which started from a quiet little village of Himatsar by his father, he wanted to take it to the whole of Rajasthan.

Dr. Ram Bajaj, with his new methodology and breakthrough research - ‘The Theory of Symbiosis’ in the field of agriculture created a new technique of growing the height of Legume crop or Guar up to 8 feet which normally can reach to just 5 feet.

Dr. Ram Bajaj has also worked extensively on bio fertilizers made of root nodules, Rhizobia and its culture which helped in extraordinary growth of Chickpea (Gram). The plants attained height of 45cm-60cm whereas the normal height is just 35cm-45cm, average grain per pod literally doubled.

He pursued Civil Engineering from B.I.T.S Pilani, besides being a successful Engineer, Dr. Ram Bajaj has many feathers added to his hat with degrees in various subjects:

VICE-CHAIRMAN’SPROFILEA results driven, self-motivated and resourceful Vice-chairman, K.K.Bajaj has been on board since the inception of the University. With a habit & passion of reaching excellence, be it business or academics, he has always been a meritorious student with two Gold Medals during his academic career - first during his B.E. (Civil Engineering), where he was a University topper throughout & second in M.A. (Political Science). He has also been a rank holder in M.A. (Public Administration), but unfortunately, missed the Gold medal marginally. Working in the industry since 1995, he has already gathered good experience in the textile sector and his exposure to field work and production management is well known. He along with his brother, V.K.Bajaj, created the group’s strong presence in the textile industry.

K.K.Bajaj has now taken forward the vision, legacy and philanthropist acumen of the Group with RNB Global University. He is endowed with in-depth knowledge and training required to navigate the knowledge driven economy of the 21st century. He has strong analytical and technical skills, and ability to use initiative as well as apply professional judgement to aid decision-making.

Karwal is an MBA Graduate, a visiting Professor at Kazakhstan National University, a Graduate from Staff College, Wellington, has qualified on the Higher Command Course, is an M.Sc. in Defense Studies from Madras University and has also attended the media communication course at IIMC, Delhi.

With lots of enthusiasm RNB Global University launched the internal newspaper “RNB Times” on the eve of Diwali Celebration on November 10th, 2015. “RNB Times” in itself is a unique newspaper as it is entirely managed by the student’s community. Through this newspaper students are given a chance to showcase their creativity and writing skills. “RNB Times” serves as a platform for students to share their views, stories and also give news updates about upcoming events.

CAFETERIAServing quality and nutritious food is of utmost importance at RNBGU cafeteria. The cafeteria is simplistically designed with modern seating and functions as a welcome haven to the students, faculty members and even the visitors. The area is also air-conditioned and wi-fi enabled.

HEALTH AND WELLNESSThe campus has a wellness centre to cater to the immediate health requirements of the students. The wellness centre is managed by a qualified medical assistant who is sufficiently skilled to provide initial treatment to the students. The centre has an Ambulance facility to transport the sick to hospitals in the vicinity. Further, there is a dedicated telephone line installed for the students to contact the health centre without any hindrances.

SCHOOL OF LAWThe most intriguing discipline amongst others in the world of education is the study of ‘Law’. The School of Law intrinsically strengthens the fundamentals of enacted Indian & Foreign Laws. The school desires to cultivate interest in the subject by emancipating ideas, inculcating knowledge and infusing confidence amongst budding lawyers.

Students can either opt for practicing as an advocate in Court of Law or work with Corporate sector. By clearing exams conducted by Public Service Commissions, a law graduate can become a judge. One can also work as a legal adviser for various organisations. Teaching in colleges, working with NGOs and working as a reporter for newspapers and television channels are other attractive options.

The aim of the school is to provide foundation for intellectual and creative experiences for youth. Social Science is that field of academics that explores various aspects of human society.

Arts graduates would be eligible for almost any career - writing, business, advertising, research, social work, academics, policy and PR are some of the fields. The career prospects of a social sciences graduate are limitless, due to the very nature of the program. For example, BA (Hons) - Economics students can opt for Banking, Indian Economic Service, Economist, Economic Advisor, Analyst, Researcher Financial services or could go for teaching.

The curriculum for all the courses varies largely. The teaching aids and activities which are to be followed are different. Still the School decided to house all these under one roof. Adopting flexible credit system for the assessment purpose, the School allows the students to select which subjects they would like to study. The dining hall is designed to hold substantially large crowd so that there is sufficient free space for resident students.

Safety and Surveillance

We have enforced 24 hour security for all the residential blocks in the University. The pathways and the open areas around the hostel blocks are sufficiently illuminated to ensure absolute safety for the students and faculty. We have also installed IP cameras at all vantage points for added security.

Recreation

Students can indulge in games such as Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc. We have also have installed LED TV screens in the hostel to meet the infotainment requirements of the students.

RNB Global University has ‘Zero tolerance towards Ragging’. We believe in developing and nurturing a healthy, peaceful and progressive atmosphere in its premises both on campus as well as in hostel.

Anti-Ragging Policy

The act of ragging is strictly prohibited and restricted according to the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. Any student who is found accused of indulging into ragging directly or indirectly or abetting the act of ragging passively or actively or be a contributor to the conspiracy for promoting ragging, is liable and responsible to be punished and penalized in accordance with UGC Regulations in order to stop the menace of ragging in higher Educational Institutions or Universities as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force.

RNB Global University has a robust, effective and dynamic Anti-Ragging Squad, Anti-Ragging Helpline, Anti-Ragging Committee, Security Cell, Residential Staff and Senior Officers appointed to take care of students.
