This year we experimented with moving the Annual Exhibition fromSpring to Autumn. We felt that this allowed Bedford Camera Clubmembers more time to prepare images without the interference of
Christmas with all its pressures and allow them more time to take andperfect their images. This has resulted in an increase in submissions of25% greater than last year and we feel that this will also be apparent inthe quality of images on show in both print and digital format.
As always the team effort in managing the whole process from collectingimages through judging and then displaying has been excellent. It is verytime consuming and as always our thanks go to all members (and non-members) who give their time voluntarily and constructively.
Our thanks also go to our Judges, Liz and Barrie Hatten and of courseour valued sponsors whose advertisements are on a permanent displayloop. Special thanks also go to Michael R Peters who are alwaysgenerous with their help and the Times and Citizen Newspaper withwhom we have built a firm relationship over the last two years.
For the third year running we are grateful to Dave Hodgson, The Mayorof Bedford, who opens the Exhibition and presents the trophies to all theworthy winners. We are aware that his diary is busy and his continuedinterest in Bedford Camera Club is highly appreciated.
We hope you enjoy the show and feel free to seek out members who willbe on hand to answer any questions you may have.
