General Information

The Waterloo Cycling Club presents the first annual KWCX, finally bringing cyclocross racing to the Region of Waterloo. The race will be held at Bingemans, a family-oriented facility featuring an indoors kid play area and arcade both open at 10am. The course contains a sand pit, two short but tough gravel climbs, off-camber descents and a mixture of surfaces through a campground. We will have a beer area by the barriers and team tents. These areas provide a great view of the action on the hill and are a short walk to the sand pit.

Centrally located only one-hour west of Toronto and one-hour east of London, KWCX will challenge racers with a technical course across grass, gravel, pavement, and sand. If you’re new to cyclo-cross or if you’re wanting to see what this side of cycling is all about, this is the race for you! All bikes and all ability levels are welcome!

Race Numbers

We are providing race numbers and timing chips at registration. Please leave your OCA numbers at home.

Race number placement will be on the ride hand side, on the jersey pocket. No shoulder numbers will be used. Your race number MUST be visible and not be covered to receive a result. While we are using chip timing, manual timing is also being done for verification. Please return your timing chip at the end of the race to registration.

Timing chips are to be mounted on the front fork facing forward. It does not matter which side of the bike it is on. Elastics are available at registration to mount the timing chip.

If you have a spare bike in the pit, and require a second timing chip, please ask for one at registration.
