List of resources available at the CIAP

How Does it Work? The CIaP has been available since 1997, and is managed by the Knowledgement Management unit in HealthTechnology, NSW Health, and governed by the Knowledge Management reference Group. all resources are reviewed annually, to ensure that the clinical information needs at the point-of-care are being met. all area Health Services contribute to the annual cost of the resources available on the CIaP, to ensure that access is free for individual clinicians.

In 2006, the Cancer Institute NSW decided to take responsibility for the procurement of additional resources for the CIaP that are specific to cancer

care. The resources selected were recommended by clinicians who delivered cancer services throughout NSW. Monthly usage statistics are available on these resources, and each year the Cancer Institute NSW will review the usage and make procurement recommendations for the next year.

It is imperative that clinicians take advantage of these resources, as low statistics will support the purchase of a different resource the following year. It is our intent to have a secondary list of resources that can be purchased if existing choices are not meeting the needs of clinicians, and welcome any resource suggestions.
