भेल भोपाल में हाइड्रो लेब परिसि में भेल दिवस अत्यंत उत्साह के साथ मनाया गया। श्री डी.के. ठाकुि, काययपालक दनिेशक,

बीएचईएल भोपाल ने भािी संख्या में उपदथथत कमयचारियों को बीएचईएल के थटेक होल्डिों के साथ की गई वचनबद्धताओ ं

को हि हाल में पिूा किने का अनिुोध किते हुए कहा दक बीएचईएल अपने अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध दनिेशक के कुशल नेततृ्व में

एक बेहति कल के दनमायण के दलए प्रदतबद्ध हैं। इस अवसि पि सभी महाप्रबन्धक, वरिष्ठ कमांडेंट तथा टे्रड यदूनयनों के प्रदतदनदध भी उपदथथत थे।

श्री ठाकुि ने सबसे पहले अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध दनिेशक, श्री सोबती का संिेश पढ़कि सनुाया । श्री ठाकुि ने इस बात पि प्रसन्नता

व्यक्त की दक बीएचईएल, को वर्य 2018 के िौिान अच्छे आिेश प्राप्त हुए ह ै। इसके साथ साथ उन्होंने अन्य दवभागों की

भी सिाहना की।

इस अवसि पि भेल कापोिेट काययलय द्वािा अयोदित छायादचत्र प्रदतयोदगता के दविेताओ

को भी सम्मादनत दकया गया दिसमे श्री सुिेश कुमाि सोनपिेु, उप अदधकािी (प्रचाि एवं िंसम्पकय दवभाग) को “हम दहतधािकों

को खशु किते हैं” वगय मैं प्रथम पिुथकाि तथा श्री सत्य श्री, उप प्रबंधक (एचसीएम दवभाग) को “भेल मैं िीवन ” वगय मैं दत्रदतय

परुुथकाि प्राप्त हुआ ह ै। काययक्रम के समापन के बाि श्री ठाकुि ने सभी ब्लॉकों तथा दवभागों में कमयचारियों से भेंट दकया औि

Among all State and Central Public Sector Enterprises, BHEL has

been adjudged as the Best PSE in Strategic Performance by an

independent jury for the Governance Now PSU Award 2019. The

award was received by Sh. Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL, from Sh. Manoj

Tiwari, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, at a function in New Delhi.

“Best PSE Award”

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been awarded the CBIP Award

2019 for 'Best Power Equipment Manufacturing Organisation'. The award was

received by Sh. Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL, from Sh. R.K. Singh, Hon'ble Union

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for New & Renewable Energy and

Power, on CBIP Day. BHEL has been conferred with the award for its

outstanding contribution towards nation building through manufacturing a wide

range of equipment for the core sectors of the economy.

“CBIP Award 2019”

Amidst stiff international competitive bidding (ICB), Bharat Heavy Electricals

Limited (BHEL) has bagged a major order for setting up a 660 MW supercritical

thermal power plant in West Bengal. Valued at approximately Rs. 3,500 Crore, the

order for setting up the 1x660 MW Sagardighi Thermal Power Project Extension

Unit-5 at Manigram village in Murshidabad district of West Bengal, has been placed

on BHEL by West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL).

BHEL’s scope of work in the project includes design, engineering, manufacture,

supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the Main Plant Turnkey Package,

comprising supercritical boiler and turbine generator along with its auxiliaries,

electricals, controls & instrumentation, switchyard, flue gas desulphurization (FGD)

and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, coal handling plant and ash

handling plant. The supercritical technology based project would significantly

contribute to the nation’s quest for clean and eco-friendly power and would cut fuel

consumption by employing high efficiency equipment working at higher operating

parameters. The project will further limit emissions by utilizing state-of-the-art

emission control equipment - FGD and SCR systems to capture pollutants like SOx

and NOx, aimed at meeting revised emission norms, notified by the Ministry of

Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Significantly, BHEL has so far contributed over 80% of the total coal-based

generating capacity of WBPDCL. The key equipment for the project will be

manufactured at BHEL’s Trichy, Haridwar, Bhopal, Ranipet, Hyderabad, Jhansi,

Thirumayam and Bengaluru plants, while the company's Power Sector - Eastern

Region division will be responsible for construction and installation activities on

site. BHEL is the leading power equipment manufacturer in the country with 58 sets

of supercritical boilers and 51 sets of supercritical turbine generators ordered on it

so far, by various customers in the domestic as well as overseas markets.

BHEL is India’s largest manufacturer of power generation equipment with an

installed base of over 1,83,000 MW of power plant equipment globally. In the

supercritical segment, BHEL has successfully manufactured and executed 660 MW,

700 MW and 800 MW sets, thereby demonstrating its leadership status and

technological prowess.

“Received Order worth Rs. 3500 crores”

Enhanced focus on expeditious project execution has resulted in Bharat

Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) creating a new benchmark of

successfully commissioning a 800 MW thermal unit within a record time

of 46 months. This is a marked improvement over the time taken in

commissioning of 800 MW sets till date in the country by various

developers. Following the successful commissioning in record time by

BHEL, the power plant has attained commercial operation. The 800 MW

set has been commissioned at Kothagudem Thermal Power Station

(KTPS) of Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO).

BHEL has executed this project on Engineering, Procurement and

Construction (EPC) basis, which includes design, engineering,

manufacture, supply, civil works and erection & commissioning of Steam

Turbines, Generators, Boiler and associated Auxiliaries and electricals,

besides state-of-the-art controls & instrumentation (C&I), Electrostatic

precipitators (ESPs) and Balance of Plant (BoP) packages. While the

construction of the plant was undertaken by the company's Power Sector

- Southern Region, the key equipment for the contract has been

manufactured at BHEL’s Trichy, Haridwar, Bhopal, Ranipet, Hyderabad,

Jhansi, Thirumayam and Bengaluru plants. Besides the 1x800 MW

Kothagudem project, TSGENCO had awarded the 5x800 MW Yadadri

project and the 4x270 MW Bhadradari project to BHEL, which are

presently under execution. In addition, in the state of Telangana, BHEL is

also executing the Steam Generator package at the 2x800 MW Telangana

STPP for NTPC. BHEL has been a committed partner in the development

of Telangana, with BHELsupplied sets contributing to 88% of the coal-

based power stations installed in the state. Projects equipped with BHEL

supplied sets such as Ramagundam and Kothagudem have been

consistently winning meritorious awards from the Ministry of Power for

their outstanding performance. BHEL is India’s largest manufacturer of

power generating equipment with an installed base of over 1,83,000 MW

of power plant equipment globally. BHEL has so far contracted 57 sets of

supercritical boilers and 50 sets of supercritical turbine generators from

various customers, in domestic as well as overseas markets.

“Commissioning within a record time”

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won an order for setting up

129 MW Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) power plants in Telangana from

Singareni Collieries Company Limited. Significantly, valued at Rs.565

Crore, this is the largest SPV power plant order won by BHEL till date.

The plants are to be set up at four locations in Telangana - Ramagundam

(50 MW), Yellandu (39 MW), Manuguru (30 MW) and Pegadapally (10

MW), on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. With

this order, BHEL’s solar portfolio has risen to more than 710 MW. BHEL

has more than three decades of expertise in solar photovoltaic products and

services backed by a dedicated R&D setup.

BHEL is one of the very few companies in India, having established

capability in major segments of the PV value chain viz., solar cells, PV

modules and power conditioning units and systems. BHEL has

significantly contributed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative of GoI and

various initiatives for developing and promoting renewable energy based

products and services on a sustained basis. The company has also enhanced

its state-of-the-art manufacturing lines of solar cells and solar modules. In

addition to this, BHEL is assembling space-grade solar panels using high

efficiency cells at its Electronic Systems Division, Bengaluru. In addition

to solar photovoltaic products, BHEL offers complete EPC solutions from

concept to commissioning for both off-grid and grid-interactive SPV

power plants in various parts of the country including Lakshadweep and

Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

“Largest SPV power plant order”

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) will set up a network of Solar-

based Electric Vehicle Chargers (SEVC) on the Delhi-Chandigarh

Highway. The project is covered under the FAME scheme [Faster

Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India] of

the Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India.

The establishment of EV chargers at regular intervals over the entire 250

kms stretch between Delhi and Chandigarh would allay range-anxiety

among the Electric Vehicle users and bolster their confidence for inter-city

travel.

BHEL’s scope of work in the project includes design, engineering,

manufacturing, supply and installation of the EV charging stations along

with a Central Monitoring System. Each SEVC charging station will be

equipped with a rooftop solar power plant to supply green energy to fast

and slow chargers planned to be installed at the location.

As part of its diversification initiative, BHEL has been expanding its

footprints in the e-mobility business. Notably, the company has already

installed DC chargers at Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi. BHEL is also

executing another commercial order for installation of DC chargers across

various locations in the country.

BHEL is extending its offering in the e-mobility segment and has equipped

itself to foray into manufacturing of EV chargers, electric buses and related

critical components. As part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative of the

Government of India, in-house development of EV motors, propulsion

systems and fast chargers has also been undertaken by the company.

“Set-up Solar-based EV Chargers”

अदधकािी श्रीमती पनूम साहू एवं सभी दवभागीय सदम दत यों के अध् यक्ष एवं सदचवगण सदहत 61 लोग उपदथथत थे.

बैठक में थ वागत संबोधन के पवूय बीएचईएल, भोपाल की ई-गहृ पदत्रका “भेल भािती” का दवमोचन महाप्रबंधक (मानव संसाधन)

श्री एम इसािोि एवं महाप्रबंधक (एससीआि इिंी. एवं एमएम) श्रीमती नीलम भोगल ने दकया. इस अवसि पि महाप्रबंधक (मानव

संसाधन) श्री एम इसािोि ने अपने संबोधन में कहा दक दहिंी कायय को आगे बढ़ाने में हम सभी लोगों को वर्य भि दहिंी में कायय

किना होगा इसके दलए सभी का सहयोग अपेदक्षत ह.ै भोपाल इकाई में दहिंी कायय का अच् छा वाताविण ह.ै उन् होंने आहवान दकया

दक िो दवभाग दहिंी कायय में कमिोि हैं उन् हें सभी दवभाग दमलकि सहयोग किें दिससे वे वर्य के िौिान बेहति कायय कि सके.

इसके पश् चात महाप्रबंधक (एससीआि इिंी. एवं एमएम) श्रीमती नीलम भोगल ने अपने संबोधन में कहा दक आि हमें गवय ह ैदक

दहिंी एवं भेल के प्रदत सभी को प् याि ह.ै इकाई में दहिंी कायय को बढ़ाने में सभी की भागीिािी होनी चादहए. आि तकनीकी क्षेत्र

में भी काफी कायय दहिंी में हो िहा ह ैइसके साथ ही ई-मेल में दहिंी के प्रयोग से कायय को काफी बढ़ाया िा सकता ह ैइसके दलए

ज् यािा से ज् यािा दहिंी का प्रयोग ई-मले में किें. उन् होंने आहवान दकया दक सभी दवभागाध् यक्ष अपने हथ ताक्षि एवं दटप् पदणयां दहिंी

में ही दलखें. इसके दलए पे्रम भाव व दिल से कायय किें इससे हमें सकािात् मक ऊिाय दमलेगी.

इसके पश् चात मानव संसाधन की वरिष् ठ काययपालक (दवदध) श्रीमती नम्रता िायसवाल एवं पे्रसशॉप दवभाग के श्री एम एम खिे,

उप अदभयंता ने अपने अपने दवभागों में वर्य के िौिान दकेये गए दहिंी कायों का प्रथ ततुीकिण दकया गया. काययक्रम का संचालन

An awareness programme on “Organ Donation “was organized by

Shree Shivam Foundation in Jawaharlal Nehru School and Kasturba

College of Nursing. The programme was led by Dr. Mrs. Pratibha

Thakur, President- Ladies Club, BHEL. Mrs. Neelam Bhogal

General Manager (SCR-Engg&MM) &(President-BSM), Mrs. Navita Nigam (Vice –President, Ladies Club, BHEL, Mr. Ashutosh

Chatterjee (Secretary, BSM), Dr. Kalpana Thorat (Joint Secretary-

BSM) were present in the programme.

Mr. Harish Mantri, Director (Shree Shivam Foundation) gave a

comprehensive talk on organ donation. He started the talk by

energizing the audience with clapping exercise. The topics covered

in the session were need for organ donation, importance of organ

donation in saving another life, types of organ donation. Interactive

session saw active participation from students, asking doubts on

different issues related to organ donation. Mrs. Neelam Bhogal also

shared her experience recipient of kidney in their family,

encouraging everyone for organ donation.
