The background we proudlypresent to you Ever since it was founded as the first nursing and midwifery
school in Thailand under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sripatch-
arintra, the Queen of King Rama V, in the year 1896, the Faculty of
Nursing has come a long way. From a humble origin, we are now one
of the most prominent nursing schools in Asia.
With a top place on QS Thailand University ranking and being
among the top 70 institutes QS Asian University Ranking, We have earnt
trust from academic institutes and nursing schools worldwide. To this
date, we have 20 active MoU and agreements with various prestigious
universities around the globe.
Additionally, on 1996 Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University has
the honor of being appointed by the World Health Organization as the
"WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Development"
for Southeast Asia Region.
With the goal of creating a better world through the field of
nursing science, we make sure to provide our learners with the program
that will prepare them to become leaders in nursing and health care, with
the focus on their critical thinking skills, ethics, leadership, and positive
attitude.
One such program that we proudly present is our Master of
Nursing Science (International) Program.
Who we aim to create Like many other higher education study programs, we aim to
mold our learners in to an ideal researchers who have an in-depth
discipline knowledge, who can integrated concepts, theories, research
findings, and related scientific knowledge into nursing practice, and who
also excel at analyzing,critical thinking,and problem solving.
At the same time, we also aim to prepare our learners to become
a leader in the field of nursing and health care. We expect our students
to be able to demonstrate self-awareness and emotional intelligence, as
well as the ability to work in team, and the ability to communicate
efficiently.
Most importantly, we prepare our students to be able to perform
nursing practice based on evidence, responsibility, moral, and intercul-
tural and ethical competency.
Curriculum Each student has to fulfill a minimum of 38 academic credits.
In addition to the core courses, we also aim to develop for our learners
the 4 most important skills: Language, Leadership, Research, and
information & technology, all of which can be developed through elective
courses we offer and workshops we hold.
Admission Requirements1) Holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or certificate equivalent to
Bachelor’s degree in nursing and currently holds RN license in his/her
country.
2) Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (on basis of 4.0 scale).
3) Have at least one year clinical experience in his/her own specialty.
4) Have minimum of two recommendations from professional references.
5) English proficiency: TOEFL-iBT score of 54, IELTS score of 5, TOELF*
score of 480,MU GRAD TEST* score of at least 60.
*For those who do not have IELTS, TOEFL-iBT
and TOEFL scores, please be advised to take
the English Proficiency Examination of the
Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University
(TOEFL-ITP or MU GRAD TEST) on the specified
examination day before applying our program.
