It is informed that Govt. of Japan is organizing a programme "Invitation Programme for Science & Technological Human Resource" (during 17-30 October, 2010 (first batch) and 7-20 November, 2010 (second batch) under the Youth Exchange Programme of the SAARC Japan Special Fund. This programme aims to acquaint graduate students or post-doctoral fellows of science and technology with Japan's leading-edge technology and establish a network with Japanese human resources to enhance the mutual co-operation. 2. The Govt. of Japan will bear expenses i.e return air fare (economy class), Departure tax and airport tax, board and lodging, expenses for programme activities, overseas travel insurance for accident, illness and injury etc. 3. The eligibili for participants for the above programmes is as under (i) The participants should be, as a rule, graduate students or post doctoral fellows of science and technology. (ii) Since the programme will be conducted in English, the participants will only benefit if they are fluent in English. (iii) The participants must hold nationality or permanent residency of the SAARC member countries. (iv) The participants should be at the age of 35 years old or younger. (v) The participants must be in good physical and mental health. (vi) The participants are not scheduled to come to Japan for study or language training under another programme.

4. The participants are expected to make a 5 minutes presentation ontheir special field of study and their expectation in participation in thisprogramme.
5. The detailed guidelines and the application forms etc. are alsoenclosed for reference.
3. In view of above, any youth who fulfills the eligibility criteriaprescribed in the guidelines for nomination, may send the application in theprescribed proforma for being considered by this Ministry, to theundersigned at the following address not later than 25th September, 2010.
