Gratings Point-of-care diagnostics Cost-effective and fast High sensitivity Working with low power light source

(e.g. LED) Working with low cost equipment (e.g.

epi-fluorescent microscope and microplate reader)

Assisting fast decision making process with fast detection.

Developing smartphone integrated system (providing access to healthcare for remote areas, resource poor regions)

Business Model / Customer Development / Delivering Your Solution Developing a lean business model with one specific

bio-marker that needs sensitive detection Expand the business for other biomarkers,

especially cancer detection Explore licensing arrangement with established

companies Customer development through NSF I-Corp program Possible B2B and B2C opportunities Exit strategy through possible “buy-out”

Intellectual Property / Proprietary Technology

US non-provisional patent application 14/081,353, was filed by the University of Missouri on the grating structure with the nano-gap and the methods of manufacture.

Provisional Patent was submitted, October 2014 on the method of stabilizing the grating structure.

PCT application under consideration

“NewCo” has created sufficient barrier to have the freedom of operation!

Financial Projections and Milestones

Financial Projection:

NewCo will need an investment of $1.5 M in the middle of 2016. The breakeven will reach by the end of 2017. The Return on Investment (ROI) is projected to be 6 times in 2020

Milestone:

1. Optimize the stabilized grating platform –December 20152. Optimize the detection system for one/ two specific bio-markers

with best LOD-March 20163. Raise investment dollars –June 2016
