Picturesquely located at the foothills of Shivaliks, Chandigarh is a rare epitome of modernization coexisting with nature's preservation. India's first planned city is a rich, prosperous, spick and span, green city rightly called "THE CITY BEAUTIFUL".
This is for the first time that the World Conference of Forensic Odontology is being held in this part of Northern India and we are hopeful that this will lead to greater interest, more research and active participation of our fellow colleagues in forensic sciences, in this part of our great country.
The organizing committee has scheduled an exhilarating scientific program that will include plenary and thematic sessions by speakers from 11 different countries i.e. USA, India, Italy, Sudan, Croatia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Nepal & China, presentations of research papers, workshop, e-posters presentations, panel discussion and much more This scientific meet is designed to provide the most imperative information and is customized to cover a spectrum ranging from basics to advance through a panel of distinguished speakers. The Pre-conference hands-on workshop will provide theoretical and practical knowledge and will train participants in age estimation, gender determination, lip prints and bite mark analysis.

how to take photographs in Forensics, comparison analysis of
bitemarks evidence and how to present this in the court of law.

The objective of this course is to learn scientific basis and concept of Forensic Facial Approximation in 2D and 3 D facial reconstruction of long term unidentified person by didactic lectures and hands on experience. The experts will also share cases to highlight the scope of this art and science and also how dental knowledge and skills can be helpful in reconstructions of deceased.
Dental Age Estimation
The participants will receive didactic instructions related to scientific rational
& techniques of dental age estimation, from infants to adults. The workshop
presentation will also address anthropologic aging. This workshop will
summarize the best possible dental age estimation methods & provide
hands-on experience including report writing, to all the participants towards
this novel area; which will benefit them in carrying out their research studies.
At the end of the session the participant will be able to perform human identification by
dental examination. This session will be a hands-on experience with the colored Interpol
forms. A case scenario will be given after which the participants need to detail out all the
information in the Interpol forms. The methodology includes ante mortem information
discussion, post mortem examination and Reconciliation followed by debriefing.
Accepted scientific presentation/poster in the 6th INPAFO World Conference will be
published as scientific paper/abstracts in the Journal of Indo Pacific Academy of
Forensic Odontology (JINPAFO) free of cost for registered delegates.
Decision of Editorial Board JINPAFO will be final.
