    The image had to represent potential, inspire conviction

    and paint a fresco of the innumerable possibilities for

    each one of us at the Aditya Birla Group. The logo thus

    represents a rich eco-system of opportunities, in which

    each sphere depicts a world that holds possibilities for

    growth, development, learning, achievement, discovery,

    fulfilment, passion and much more. The pace, vibrancy

    and energy of these worlds are captured and brought

    alive through the interaction of the colours.

    Yellow has been interpreted as warmth and intelligence,

    to capture the spirit of a multinational conglomerate,

    thats Indian at heart. Red depicts energy, strength and

    speed. It represents the Groups seamlessness through

    its operations across a multitude of countries and

    cultures.Purple is interpreted as knowledge, to signify

    the vast reservoirs of experience present across our

    Group. Blue stands for confidence, loyalty and

    The logo should always be used as a whole,

    and not broken down into its elements. For

    colour composition guidelines in CMYK

    printing, please refer to the percentages

    specified in the Brand Manual usage CD.

    The Logos Structure

    Alongside, you will see the permitted

    dimensions of the logo. The grid scale provides

    clear proportions, that will help you accurately

    reproduce the logo. Any reduction or enlargement

    of it must follow the proportions illustrated here.

    Clear Space around the Logo

    To ensure that the logo is always given its

    rightful status, one should always follow the

    specified clear space proportions.

    A minimum space of 1x (where x is the space

    between the graphic and text) should be leftaround the logo on all sides to avoid clutter

    and maintain the logos character.

    25 mm in width.

    Should A World of Opportunities appear in text

    outside the logo unit, care should be taken to

    how the logo should not be used. Do follow

    the Brand Identity Manual to represent the

    Background Colour Usage

    At times, we may have to use the logo over a

    coloured background. If the background colour

    is light, the logo can be used as-is on the

    background. If the background is dark, the text

    appears in white, to ensure readability.

    Logo Placement -

    When used with the Aditya Birla Group

    corporate logo

    When the logo appears with the Aditya Birla

    Group corporate logo, a space of 0.25x

    (where x is the height of A World ofOpportunities logo) should be left between the

    two logos.

    When used with the singular business

    brand logo

    The same guidelines apply for usage with

    the singular business brand logo as the

    logos usage with the Aditya Birla Group

    corporate logo.

    When used with the Aditya Birla Group

    A World of Opportunities logo appears with

    the ABG logo as specified above, while the

    business brand logo is kept separate from

    the two logos, as illustrated alongside.

    address panel, the font used is Trade Gothic

    light (7pt 80% Black). Follow the placement of

    the logos and text as illustrated below. The

    minimum width of the logo to be placed on the

    envelope is 50 mm. It is placed at the top left

    Logo placement on E-mailers

    The Aditya Birla Group corporate logo should

    appear on top in the centre, with a minimum

    width of 10 mm. A World of Opportunities logo

    should appear on the bottom right, with a

    minimum width of 10 mm. To enhancecommunication, animated design elements

    could be introduced, such as the

    multi-coloured path illustrated alongside.

    However, their usage is not ubiquitous.

    Shoshkele Banner

    To introduce A World of Opportunities in an

    interesting way, a full page animated

    Logo placement on business brand websites

    On a business brands home page, the logo

    appears within a web banner on the right side,

    to navigate users towards the careers page. On

    the landing page, the logo appears next to the

    Aditya Birla Group corporate logo, shown below.

    Web Banner Templates

    Web Banner Templates are created in three

    sizes: square, horizontal and vertical

    (illustrated on the following page). These

    banners can be used for recruitment, internal

    communication on the ABG or business brandwebsite, or on job search websites.

    Across banner sizes, the business brand,

    A World Of Opportunities and The Aditya Birla

    Group logos should have a minimum clearance

    space of 10 pixels on all sides. For square

    banners, the logo should be placed in the centre.

    Order of logos on Web Banners

    for customer facing business brands

    Across all banner sizes, the last 5 seconds of

    animation are reserved for logos. The

    appearance of logos, follow a certain order.

    First, the business brand logo appears for 2

    seconds, followed by the A World of

    Opportunities and the Aditya Birla Group

    corporate logo for 3 seconds.

    Order of logos on Web Banners for a

    combined business brand and ABG logos

    In this case, the business brand and Aditya

    Birla Group combined logo appears with the

    A World of Opportunities logo for 5 seconds, on

    the same pane.

    Print MediaThis section details the usage ofA World ofOpportunities logo in the print media.

    The Tone of Voice

    A World of Opportunities tone of voice is clear,

    warm, active, and inspires confidence.

    Importantly, the style is simple, so that it is

    understood across the globe. This tone of

    voice must be used while drafting all

    employee related communication (for internal

    employees and external prospective employees)

    As stated earlier, the Trade Gothic font family

    is used in the print media. The ratio of the

    headline to the Group introduction copy size

    should be 4:1. In the example alongside, theGroup introduction copy is 9 pt. size. The rest

    of the copy should be smaller and

    proportionately adjusted.

    Clear Space and Space Division

    Across ads, the business brand logo is placed

    on the top right, 5 mm from the top and from

    the right. A World of Opportunities logo and The

    Aditya Birla Group corporate logo will be placed

    on the bottom left corner, 5 mm from the left

    and from the bottom. The information heads

    (e.g. Position, Job Code etc.) appear in bold

    and in the same colour as the headline.

    Colours chosen must be from A World of

    Opportunities logo, as illustrated alongside.

    While creating a recruitment ad, a 5 mm

    coloured border should be used. The colours

    should be chosen from one of the 5 colours

    mentioned alongside.
