    Activities

You define a phantom assem'ly in the material master "ith the special procurement !ey 6).

    Automatic Grid Value Assignment

    Features

If a component has the same grid as the header material the system automatically assigns thegrid values of the component to the grid values of the header material. A component "ithout gridor a standard component are automatically assigned to the header material as "ell.

If you "ant to maintain consumption $uantities for the components that deviate from the default$uantities then enter the deviation and (ero $uantities 1see 0eviation 7uantities and 8ero7uantities2.

9ormally the system considers the default $uantities as consumption $uantities for the

components "hen exploding the 'ills of material during M-P. If you have entered deviation$uantities for specific grid values the system "ill use these.

For the fall season you plan the production of #eans in si(es& inseam *:+) and +* and "aist *: *; +) and +%. You procure the undyed tailored

#eans fa'ric in the corresponding si(es from your external vendor. 3he

fa'ric is dyed and se"n during the production activity.

You stored a t"odimensional grid for the #eans "ith the dimensionsinseam and "aist. 0ue to the prefa'ricated cut the #eans fa'ric also hasa t"odimensional grid that contains the dimensions inseam and "aist.3he system automatically assigns the #eans fa'ric to the #eans in thecorresponding si(es and "idths.

3o automatically assign the grid values of the components to the gridvalues of the header material the grid of the header material mustcorrespond entirely or partially to the grid of the component. 3hat means

that the grid values of the header material must 'e contained in the gridof the component.

3o facilitate the data maintenance "e recommend that you use theautomatic grid value assignment for as many materials as possi'le.

    Manual Grid Value Assignment

    Features

If the component has a different grid than the header material you must manually assign the grid

values of the components to the grid values of the header material in the 'ill of material.

You carry out the assignment of the grid values of a component to the grid values of a headermaterial in a grid that contains the com'ination of all grid values of the component and the headermaterial. 3hen you manually assign the consumption $uantities for each individual grid value ofthe component to the grid values of the header material. 3hese may differ from each other 1see0eviation 7uantities and 8ero 7uantities2.

    >.3he (ippers in si(es >= >: and 6) are used for the larger #ac!ets.

For the s!i #ac!et you stored a t"odimensional grid "ith the dimensionssi(e and color. 3he grid of the (ipper is onedimensional and contains thespecific si(es of the (ipper. 3he system creates a grid in "hich you cansee the colors and si(es of the s!i #ac!et on the one side and on theother side you can see the si(es of the (ipper. /ere you enter theconsumption $uantities for the (ipper per si(e5color of the s!i #ac!et.

If the header material and the component have different grids you mustmanually assign the grid values of the header material and the gridvalues of the component to each other. If that is not the case the systemcannot find the 'ill of material for the header material during the furtherlogistical process.

Individual customer re$uirements are common in the apparel and foot"ear industry. 3hesere$uirements can 'e colors si(es and fashiona'le cuts. 3hey are used throughout the entireprocess from the production to the components. 3his re$uires you to have different consumption$uantities for the characteristic values of the components. 3o meet those re$uirements AFS

    Use

If you "ant to carry out a mass data change for AFS ills of materials you must use thefunction Quantity Distribution rofile. 3he $uantities at SC level are calculated as descri'ed inthe document7uantity 0istri'ution Profile.

9ote that the mass data change is controlled depending on the o'#ecttype. 3hat means that the mass data change "ith a $uantity distri'utionprofile is only significant for the o'#ect type material and therefore formaterial BOMs.

AFS "ata /ransfer from S.P to AFS "emandManagement

    Use

    4ntegration

3his illustrates "hich role AFS SC data plays in the transfer of data from SIS to SOP and then toAFS 0emand Management.

    Features

3he AFS data 3ransfer from SOP to AFS demand managementcorresponds to the ransfer Datato Demand Mana"ement interfacein the standard system except that AFS also supportsdisaggregation for materials or product groups as "ell as presi(ing at the time of the datatransfer. 3his is similar to the mass processing function in the standard SOP for transferring datato the standard demand management.

You can transfer all of the data for planning from an info structure to AFS demand managementacross plants materials product groups and periods or you can limit the transfer to any of thesefactors. AFS supports the data transfer 'oth from the standard SOP and from Flexi'le Planning'y using all the planning types 1such as consistent planning or level'ylevel planning2. You canalso copy data to different versions of planned independent re$uirements.

You can use the "et valid valuesfunction on the 'asis of an info structure and a version to selectthe re$uirements to 'e transferred. You can then narro" do"n the selection of data to specificperiods product groups and so on. You must define a !ey figure "hich the system uses transfersas the ne" $uantity for AFS planned independent re$uirements.

3o activate the planned independent re$uirements after the transfer select the a!tiveindicator.3he system automatically carries out presi(ing if possi'le. If presi(ing is not possi'le the systemcopies the re$uirements at material level.

3he /et valid values for info stru!ture function ena'les you to select all relevant materials "hichare 'ased on the info structure data and to copy them to the initial selection screen for the

transfer. 3his function can only 'e used for info structures 'y version. Before the system transfersthe data to the selection screen it deletes all the entries for materials that appear multiply due tothe different versions. You can only see those materials in the selection screen.

You must maintain all versions and settings for distri'ution profiles presi(ing and

confirmation for a production order (@!B$ or for an operation (@! or @!7$.

    1. For an order confirmation 2C.,@3 all SCs for a production order are

%f you *or' *ith assembly scrap, the quantity entered at bundle level is treated as the

    scrap quantity correctly.

+ith AFS you can post goods movements at S6< level in the confirmation and you can

maintain changed data, such as quantity, storage location or batch. This is only valid forbac'flushes and automatic goods receipts. This *ay you can maintain the data at S6
