Tugbungan originated from two words “Tubug” meaning to wallow and “NGAN” the sound the carabao makes.

Joining these two words became the popular name now “TUGBUNGAN”.

Whole day, these carabaos spend the day in these places that sometimes the owners do not even bother to bring their carabaos in their homes at night.
