Overview of Kenan Institute Asia

Kenan has been bridging the gap between companies, communities and governments for social and economic development since 1996.

We have a 55-person strong team of development professionals.

We have charitable status in Thailand, with offices in Bangkok, Songklah, Pattani, Hanoi and Vientiane.

We were founded by Mr. Anand Panyarachun and run by an international, all-volunteer board of trustees.

Born out of a historical relationship between the Kenan family and Thailand

A member of the family, Mr. Charles Grey, met the future King Rama VII in Arizona during the 1920s

The Kenan family has been active in Thailand since the 1920s

Out of this friendship grew the cooperation that would create Kenan in 1996

Officially founded in 1996 with support from UNC, Kenan family, USAID and TICA

King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) and the Kenan Family
