How to use Stratamark • Ensure that the skin is clean and dry. • Apply a very thin layer of Stratamark to the relevant areas with your fingertips and distribute evenly to form a very thin layer and allow the gel to dry. • Apply once per day, or after each wash. • For best results Stratamark should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24 h/day). • When applied correctly, Stratamark should be dry in 5–6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much. • A little amount of gel goes a long way. Gently remove any excess gel with a tissue or paper towel and allow the drying process to continue. • Once dry, Stratamark can be covered by undergarments, sunscreens or cosmetics. Removal of Stratamark Stratamark can be easily removed from your hands after ap- plication: simply wash your hands with liquid soap and warm water. Repeat if necessary. Stratamark may stain clothing if not completely dry. If staining occurs, dry cleaning should be able to remove it without any damaging of the fabric. How much Stratamark do I need? Stratamark is a unique formulation that requires substantially less product per application than typical moisturizing creams or cosmetic preparations. One Stratamark 20 g (0.7 oz) tube contains enough gel for approximately one month treatment for women in the late stages of pregnancy. One Stratamark 50 g (1.75 oz) tube contains enough gel for approximately two months treatment for women in the late stages of pregnancy. Recommended duration of treatment Prevention of stretch marks during pregnancy Stratamark is recommended for use from the beginning of the second trimester (13 weeks) or at the first sign of stretch marks. Treatment should be continued following birth for a minimum of 60 to 90 days. Prevention of stretch marks during growth spurts Stratamark should be used for the duration of the growth spurt or until the skin is no longer tightly stretched. Stretch marks are a type of thin, flattened scar. Although the cause for developing stretch marks is not fully under­stood it is thought to be due to an abnormal change in the underlying tissue of the skin.

In the early stages stretch marks appear slightly raised with a pink to red colour, which over time develops a slight pur­ple tinge and then eventually becomes white and depressed with finely wrinkled lines.

Stretch marks may result from pregnancy, adolescent growth spurts, weight gain or bodybuilding.

Striae Distensae is the generic term for stretch marks, but there are several different classifications:

Striae Gravidarum describes stretch marks that occur due to pregnancy.

• Striae Rubra describes early red scarring.

Stratamark gel is a unique gel formu­lation specially designed for the pre­vention and treatment of all types of stretch marks. It dries to form a thin, flexible and protective gel sheet that is gas permeable and waterproof. Strata mark allows the skin to normalize the collagen synthesis cycle to effectively prevent and reduce stretch marks.

How to use Stratamark

• Ensure that the skin is clean and dry.

• Apply a very thin layer of Stratamark to the relevant areas with your fingertips and distribute evenly to form a very thin layer and allow the gel to dry.

• Apply once per day, or after each wash.

• For best results Stratamark should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24 h/day).

• When applied correctly, Stratamark should be dry in 5–6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much.

• A little amount of gel goes a long way. Gently remove any excess gel with a tissue or paper towel and allow the drying process to continue.

Removal of Stratamark

Stratamark can be easily removed from your hands after ap­plication: simply wash your hands with liquid soap and warm

water. Repeat if necessary. Stratamark may stain clothing if not completely dry. If staining occurs, dry cleaning should be able to remove it without any damaging of the fabric.

How much Stratamark do I need?

Stratamark is a unique formulation that requires substantially less product per application than typical moisturizing creams or cosmetic preparations.

• One Stratamark 20 g (0.7 oz) tube contains enough gel for approximately one month treatment for women in the late stages of pregnancy.

• One Stratamark 50 g (1.75 oz) tube contains enough gel for approximately two months treatment for women in the late stages of pregnancy.

Recommended duration of treatment

Prevention of stretch marks during pregnancy

Stratamark is recommended for use from the beginning of the second trimester (13 weeks) or at the first sign of stretch marks. Treatment should be continued following birth for a minimum of 60 to 90 days.

Prevention of stretch marks during growth spurts

Stratamark should be used for the duration of the growth spurt or until the skin is no longer tightly stretched. Treat­ment should then be continued for 60 to 90 days.

Treatment for existing stretch marks

Stratamark should be used for at least 60 to 90 days (24/7). Continued use is recommended until no further improvement is seen. Severe and/or older stretch marks may need longer treatment. Stratamark may also be used in combination with other stretch mark treatments including laser therapy with the advice of your physician.

Les vergetures sont des sortes de cicatrices fines et plates. Bien que la cause pour le développement des vergetures n’est pas entièrement compris, la pensé est qu’elle est dû à un changement anormal du tissu sous­jacent de la peau.

Dans les premiers stades, les vergetures ont un léger relief et prennent une couleur allant de rose à rouge. Au fil du temps, la couleur vire au violet, puis au blanc et des lignes prononcées et légèrement ridées apparaissent.

Les vergetures peuvent résulter de la grossesse, les pous­sées de croissance des adolescents, le gain de poids et le culturisme. Striae Distensae est le terme générique pour les vergetures, mais il y a plusieurs classifications différentes:

Le gel Stratamark est un produit conçu uniquement pour la prévention et le trai­tement de tous les types de vergetures. Il sèche pour former une pellicule protectrice mince et souple qui est perméable aux gaz et imperméable à l’eau. Stratamark permet à la peau de normaliser le cycle de la synthèse du collagène pour prévenir et réduire les vergetures efficacement.

Mode d’emploi du Stratamark• Assurez­vous que la peau est propre et sèche.

• Appliquez du bout des doigts une très fine couche sur la zone concernée, étendez le gel uniformément, et laissez sécher.

• Il convient d’appliquer Stratamark une fois par jour ou après chaque lavage.

• Les meilleurs résultats sont obtenus lorsque Stratamark reste en contact permanent avec la peau (24 h/24).

• Lorsqu’il est appliqué correctement sur les zones exposées, Stratamark sèche en l’espace de 5–6 minutes. Si le séchage dure plus longtemps, cela signifie que vous avez appliqué une trop grande quantité de gel.

• Une petite quantité de gel suffit pour donner de très bons résultats. Enlevez soigneusement l’excès de gel avec un mouchoir et laissez à nouveau sécher.

• Une fois sec, Stratamark peut être couvert par des sous­vêtements, des crèmes solaires ou des cosmétiques.

Comment enlever StratamarkStratamark s’enlève facilement après application : passez vos mains sous l’eau chaude, puis utilisez un savon liquide. Re­nouvelez l’opération si nécessaire. Stratamark est susceptible

de tacher les vêtements avant le séchage complet. Lorsque des taches apparaissent, elles peuvent être éliminées par nettoyage à sec sans endommager le tissu.

Quelle quantité de Stratamark doit être appliquée?Stratamark est une formulation unique qui nécessite sensiblement moins de produit par application que les crèmes hydratantes typiques ou les préparations cosmétiques.

• Un tube de 20 g est suffisant pour un traitement d’une durée d’environ un mois, dans la dernière phase de la grossesse.

• Un tube de 50 g est suffisant pour un traitement d’une durée d’environ deux mois, dans la dernière phase de la grossesse.

Durée recommandée de traitementPrévention de vergetures au cours d’une grossesse :L’utilisation de Stratamark est recommandée à partir du début du deuxième trimestre (13 semaines) ou à la première apparition de signes de vergetures. Le traitement doit se poursuivre après la naissance pendant un minimum de 60 à 90 jours.

Prévention des vergetures au cours de poussées de croissance :Il convient d’appliquer Stratamark tout au long des poussées de croissance, et de continuer le traitement jusqu’à ce que toutes les tensions de la peau aient disparues. Il est ensuite recommandé de poursuivre le traitement pendant au moins 60 à 90 jours.

Traitement de vergetures déjà existantes :Il est recommandé d’appliquer Stratamark pendant une du­rée d’au moins 60 à 90 jours (24 heures/24). La poursuite du traitement est conseillée tant qu’aucune amélioration n’est constatée. Les vergetures sévères et/ou anciennes peuvent nécessiter un traitement plus long. Sur avis médical, Stratamark peut également être utilisé en même temps que d’autres traitements contre les vergetures, comme une thérapie laser par exemple.
