The Global Education Collaborative is a community of practice where people connect and build the professional relationships necessary for effective collaboration across borders. Via this social network, educators and organizations from all over the world share conversations, resources, projects, and initiatives with a strong emphasis on promoting global awareness, fostering global competency, and inspiring action towards solving real-world problems. Our ultimate goal is to help prepare students for a rapidly changing and complex world.

GEC Network TipsMake sure your profile is complete. We recommend that you use your name and list your organization or school in the Organization field. Click My Page in the green navigation bar at the top of this page to see your profile.
Take a look at our mission statement so that you understand what we are all about.
There is a great deal of content beyond the front page of our community. Make sure to check out all the discussions, blogs, groups, and events posted from members around the world.
We love social media! Find out about others ways you can connect with GEC members by clicking on More in the green navigation bar.
If you're looking for project partners, search our 10,000+ membership for people from a specific country.
If you're looking to get people involved in your work or project, post a discussion forum post with as much detail as possible about your project. Be aware that schools in different hemispheres may have differing school schedules. Also, add your project to our project database.
Check out a few recorded sessions from last year's conference in the archives under the 2012 Conference menu.
Find out more about our 2012 Global Education Conference. If you are a member of iEARN, check out information about your parallel event.
If you an iEARN member and have specific questions about the iEARN Conference and Youth Summit, events that are running parallel to the Global Education Conference, please post your questions in this discussion forum category.
