DUEDC: A Platform of Developing Entrepreneurship & Business
Dhaka University Entrepreneurship Development Club represents aplatform that has been formed to serve the intention ofencouraging students to turn their ideas and passions into adeveloped business model by preparing them with entrepreneurialstrategies and motivation to adopt professionalism. A group ofstudents of Dhaka University has committed to engage themselvesin different projects held by the club to deliver their latentpotentials in improving the entrepreneur society. In pursuit ofthese goals, this association will represent and act on studentviews and concerns; promote, coordinate and operateentrepreneur activities and opportunities; enhance channels ofcommunication between the students, faculties,administrations, alumnus, University communities, employers andsame entrepreneurship related organizations.

While everything came at a standstill position due to pandemic; DUEDC took a giantstep by launching the biggest online event in the history of University of Dhaka. It washeld at Facebook via Stream yard. The summit was initiated by Dr Rafiuddin Ahmed,PhD (Entrepreneurship, Australia). Associate professor, Dept. of Marketing, University ofDhaka. The summit had an inaugural ceremony and a closing ceremony withhonorable guests. A demo pitching competition was arranged in the summit thatwas supported by YY Ventures. Many innovative ideas got submitted and best 3 ideaswere awarded from those. This summit will remain as a milestone for DUEDC!

7SKILLNEURS 1.0: A Workshop on soft skills for Graduates & Entrepreneurs

Having in view all the challenges of being presentable to others in this advancedworld, DUEDC had organized a one-day workshop based on Soft skills. This one-day event was free as well as open for all of the curious minds who were ambitious toacquire knowledge and to make themselves efficient on Soft skills. DUEDC hadsuccessfully held the event SKILLNEURS 1.0 via Zoom app. As a knowledge spreadingand skill developing workshop, it was basically held on Soft skills including interactionwith colleagues, handling problems and managing skill in work place, most importantpart - Communication skill, Interpersonal relationship maintenance, qualities,time management and so on. And the surprising part was that the event alsodiscussed about digital skills which is another lucrative challenge for all of us.

Write to be HeardNational Writing Competition 2020

The recent national level writing competition (write to be heard) has been publishedby DUEDC. It lasted for 16 days, starting from 6th October to 21st October on thetopic, “How do you want to picture future Bangladesh from an entrepreneur’sperspective”. The competition was divided into two categories: Bangla andEnglish. This competition was open for people of any profession and any age. Thepurpose of this competition was to develop people’s writing skill and also to knowtheir thoughts about how they want to see the future Bangladesh from anentrepreneur’s perspective. With the via of this competition DUEDC cherished tocreate a platform where people can share their thoughts and ideas. This onlinecompetition made an effect on revealing the participants’ undiscovered skills.
