Assigned Topic:  Abraham Lincoln (USA) Time Period:  1831-1865 Success Story:  In 1831he was failed in business.  In 1832 he lost his job. He wanted to go to law school after this tragedy but his application was rejected.  In 1840 he sought to become elector defeated.  In 1843 he ran for Congress and lost.  In 1846 he Ran for Congress again and that time he won  In 1860 he won the presidential election and became the greatest president ever of US Leadership Traits:  He was a cluster in himself.  He had been a postmaster, shopkeeper, surveyor and a lawyer.  He practiced a lower, middle and upper class job; that is why he had grown himself with leadership qualities and leaded his country in the most critical situations like civil war in USA and freedom of slaves.  He had the capacity to listen to different points of view.  He did share credit for success and blame of failure.  He had the awareness of own weaknesses and had control over his emotions.  He had the ability to communicate goals and vision. Lesson learnt:  We must have the ability prove ourselves right before the public.  We must have strong team; if we want to lead and succeed.  We must control our emotions if we are to lead something.  We must communicate our goals and vision.  Our focus must be on the fundamental goals.  We must have the decision making power.  We must be aware of our weaknesses.  We must have strong managerial hold.
