“Entre Géosciences et Chimie” (EGC) is a seminar

series that serve as an interdisciplinary platform for researchers within Materials Chemistry and Geosciences. Since 2015, this event has been organized annually at the University of Yaoundé I main Campus. The latest innovation to the seminar series has been the advent of poster sessions and prizes awards for best oral and

poster presentation.

The event is scheduled to run from the 5-6th

December 2018. The first day will witness

Registration, the official opening at 1 pm, fol-

lowed by a plenary session, a workshop ses-

sion, installation of posters and a cocktail din-

ner to commemorate the opening ceremony.

On the second day, there will be four Oral

presentation sessions, one poster session and

awards of prizes.

Accommodation

Special arrangements for discounts will be made with Hotels around the Yaoundé I campus. The price is estimated as from 10 000 FCFA per

night.

Objectives

The objective of this seminar is to promote the research at the interface of Materials Chemistry and Geosciences both at the local and interna-tional level. The event also seeks to bring togeth-er academic scientists, researchers and research scholars; to create an open space for discussion, networking and collaboration. Participants get a chance to present their research to colleagues of the same or similar fields, receive positive feed-back and constructive criticism about their re-

search.
