Friday, April 24th 7:30 - 8:30pm
Abstract: While enterprise changeinitiatives often come from seniorexecutives, what happens if the need oropportunity for innovation is identified bysomeone multiple levels down in theorganization? Are enterprises as resistantto such lower-level suggestions? Supposethat the individual possesses sufficientgumption to attempt the Mt. Everest-likeclimb up the organizational hierarchy tothe top with the dream that the CEO willunderstand the wisdom of his or her ideaand take action. History teaches that thechance of success is, at best, grim. Nowsuppose that an individual or group ofindividuals outside the enterprise attemptsthe same climb to the top. Impossible?Probably! But that was the challengegiven to a group called the “ImpactTeam”. Lessons learned from thatexperience will be shared to provideinsights on a path for fellow leaders tofollow.
