Recent News from AmCham Member Companies APRIL 18, 2017 ABT-ACTE RUSSIA On March 29, 2017, the annual ACTE Moscow Forum was held by the Association of Corpo- rate Travel Executives (ACTE Global) and its Russian representative – The Asso- ciation of Business Travel (ABT-ACTE Russia). More than 150 business travel experts discussed the trends of the industry and its technological development in Russia. The main topics of ACTE Moscow Forum were technolo- gies, especially mobile ones, priorities in building travel programs, communication strategies, KPI, bleisure, arti- ficial intellect and robots in business travel. Forum experts included 12 speakers from Accor Hotels, Buying Business Travel Russia online magazine, Visa, ATH American Express GBT, Kaspersky Lab and others. ABT-ACTE Russia holds about 50 business events for in- dustry experts every year. The main event of the autumn will be International MICE Geography Show, the leading venue in Russia for professional growth and the estab- lishment of business contacts between corporate buyers of the event and meetings industry and service providers. Alinga Consulting Group On April 5, 2017, Alinga Con- sulting hosted a business breakfast and invited company executives to participate and discuss topical issues concerning the economy and cur- rent business environment. This is the eighth time Alinga Consulting is holding the business breakfast and the first time it is hosted in St. Petersburg. This event is an oppor- tunity for peer to peer interaction among senior execu- tives. The selection of the questions for discussion under the guidance of Alinga Principals was agreed upon in ad- vance with the participants in order to make the meeting as beneficial as possible. American Councils for International Education American Councils for Inter- national Education is pleased to announce a new Business, Technology, and Innovation (BTI) Internship program for American students interested in gaining real-world skills and experience in Russia. In partnership with Moscow International University, American graduates and under- graduates will intern at a host Russian company while simultaneously taking university courses, studying con- temporary Russian culture and language. “American students are increasingly conducting internships abroad, and we believe more should be choosing Russia,” says Graham Hettlinger, Director of Higher Education at Amer- ican Councils. “From international finance, to innovation and STEM fields, Russia is a dynamic environment and offers many competitive advantages for those interested in a hands-on global experience beyond typical study abroad. appear in antigravity. Given the name, the height of the bar and its shape, which resembles a flying saucer, the project harmoniously fit in the bar concept. Although in reality the dishes of the restaurant do not fly in the air, the serving of many of them remains quite space-like.
