Protocol• Study conducted to determine if AC Vegan

Keratin OS could provide comparable hairhydration to animal-derived keratin.

• Four hair swatches were weighed, and thentreated with either 2.0% AC Vegan Keratin OS,2.0% AC Keratin Hydrolysate OS, Isododecane, ornothing (untreated control).

• Hair swatches were weighed post-treatment, thenplaced into a constant temperature-drying ovenfor 1 hour at 105°C. When removed from theoven, the hair was allowed time to cool in ahumidity-controlled chamber and weighed.

• Hair hydration was determined by calculating thepercent moisture per hair swatch.

• AC Vegan Keratin OS is capable of maintaininghair hydration comparable to animal (sheep’swool)-derived hydrolyzed keratin.

control shampoo vs. 2.0% AC Vegan KeratinOS in shampoo as well as a comparisonbetween control conditioner vs. 2.0% ACVegan Keratin OS in conditioner.

• 5 volunteer participant’s hair wasphotographed prior to treatment and againafter shampoo, conditioner, and styling.
