Dear Researchers,The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) has been contributing since its establishment to the development of a research culture in a wide range of target groups from primary school level to post-doctoral level through project, scholarship, and competition programs, with the purpose of fulfilling a pioneering role in the field of science and technology. Besides these programs, TÜBİTAK publishes 11 academic journals to which distinguished researchers from any country can submit articles. TÜBİTAK aims to contribute to the field of science and technology at global level and to increase social welfare through these academic journals. SCOPE OF JOURNAL• The Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry is published electronically 6 times a year by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

• The journal accepts English-language original manuscripts and contribution is open to researchers of all nationalities.

• All manuscripts are peer-reviewed and electronic processing ensures accurate reproduction of text and data, plus publication times as short as possible.

• It publishes, full-length original research papers and solicited review articles on advances in agronomy, horticulture, plant breeding, plant protection, plant molecular biology and biotechnology, soil science and plant nutrition, bionergy and energy crops, irrigation, agricultural technologies, plant-based food science and technology, forestry, and forest industry products.

• It publishes manuscripts on all aspects of veterinary medicine and animal sciences, especially manuscripts written on the subjects of basic sciences and clinical sciences related to veterinary medicine, nutrition, and nutritional diseases, as well as the breeding and husbandry of the above-mentioned animals and the hygiene and technology of food of animal origin, have priority for publication in the journal.

• Contributions related to laboratory animals are only accepted for publication with the understanding that the subject is crucial for veterinary medicine and animal science.

• A manuscript suggesting that animals have been subjected to adverse, stressful, or harsh conditions or treatment will not be processed for publication unless it has been approved by an institutional animal care committee or the equivalent thereof.
