Composites
Before After
Cape works with Ecosse Global to provide a cost-effective composite repair solution for ageing on and offshore assets, principally piping, pipeline, plant and equipment that are affected by corrosion. This technology helps avoid section and equipment replacement and hot work permits, therefore costly shutdowns of plant are avoided, saving significant cost and extending the asset’s life.Complex defects in bends, expansion joints, tee branches, storage tanks, and pressure vessels are easy to repair, and work complies with international standards ISO / TS 24817 and ASME-PCC-2.

Pressure Testing and Pipeline Pigging
Our capabilitiesPressure Testing Undertake hydro-testing
activities: Testing on new build HRSG units Testing of existing plant items during extension programs
Pipeline Pigging Pigging of small and large bore
pipework: Use of pig launcher / catcher for effluent control Remove contaminants using wire brush or razor back pigs Chemical dipping of pigs for drying or metal treatment
A key part of any construction activity is proving the build. In today’s industry the integrity of the systems is normally proven by a hydraulic test of the systems witnessed by the insurance inspector. At Cape, we are able to offer this testing service for a wide range of applications such as when tests are required at elevated temperatures, when the test medium needs to contain preservatives, and when the test is required at high pressure. Cape also have extensive experience in pigging small and large bore pipework from pipeline drying with soft foam pigs to contamination removal using wire brush or razor back pigs. Pipeline pigs are devices that are inserted into and travel throughout the length of a pipeline driven by a product flow. They were originally developed to remove deposits which could obstruct or retard flow through a pipeline. Today pigs are used during all phases in the life of a pipeline for many different reasons.

With the challenge of decommissioning ageing assets, Cape can continue to deliver the same high quality value adding solutions to the requirements of the decommissioning industry. The working knowledge we gain of clients’ major industrial assets while providing services to support their operations, means we are able to enhance the decommissioning process. The benefits of this approach are considerable, as decommissioning programmes often begin while assets are still productive. With highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams already in place, we can undertake a range of preparatory decommissioning activities.
