Technology Resources for Job Seekers:Your first step to finding a new career.

If you find yourself looking for work, you will soon realize that the process has certainly changed. Searching for a job has become simplified by the web. Since online applications are becoming the standard, having access to the internet is more important than ever. The library can help by offering computers with both word processing and internet access for everyone with a library card. Here you can research a career or find current job openings. You can register with job sites, sign up for an email account and create, print and save your resume. Using your public library can be an important first step to your future!

Fast Track Your Job Search:Before you pound the pavement, prepare for success.

The library offers a wealth of print, audio and online resources for job hunters. Browse a copy of our new Help Wanted! guide to focus your search. Whether you are seeking job listings, resume

materials, interview guidance or vocational research, the Help Wanted! guide can point you in the right direction. Pick up a copy at your local branch or access it electronically through the

Careers, Education and Testing section of our website: www.greenvillelibrary.org.

Librarians certainly understand the need for the latest news. They suggest a morning ritual of coffee and pastries at the Palmetto Bean Café while you relax and enjoy the newspaper or your favorite celebrity news magazine. If you’ve already

read the current issue, most branches have magazine back issues that you can check out! From Modern Bride to The New York Times Book Review, stay current without going broke!

Don’t forget about our 24-hour library! Browse our automotive databases and save money by learning how to change your own oil. Interested in genealogy? Save money by searching our databases and electronic records – without the monthly

fee that most popular genealogical websites require. If you need magazine articles or books for a school project, try finding them in the library catalog online or request them through Interlibrary Loan first. You could save hundreds of dollars by borrowing instead of buying! Just visit our website: www.greenvillelibrary.com and click on “Research.”
