A variety of services are available, such as custom-image development and installation, computer installation and maintenance, custom-configuration, on-site technical aid and service for maximum up-time. can-bus integrationWhen needed JLT offers to integrate an interface for connection to the vehicle data-bus. A mPCIe CAN-bus controller card is integrated in the unit, replacing the existing COM-RS232 connector. Implementation support is handled by the CAN-bus module manufacturer.

radio DisablingWhen units are required to have no radio communication options, JLT offers to remove all radio functionality from the computer, including WLAN, WAN, Bluetooth and GPS. Units where radio communication has been disabled are shipped with a conforming declaration.

external antenna configurationsFor even better connectivity JLT computers can be configured with external antennas, in addition to the user configurable antenna that is standard on all units. For instance, the computers can be configured with external antenna outputs on the back for WLAN, WWAN, Bluetooth and GPS. Connectors used are bulkhead SMA or SMA-RP.

rs232 reconfigurationOther than the standard 12V output JLT can offer customized configuration of the RS232 COM-port, including 5V output as sometimes needed for peripherals, screen blanking input as a safety function and ring detect (RS232 standard).

os image customization and preloadingTo make deployment both easier and faster JLT offer development of customer unique. Any other OS images supplied the customer can be preloaded to the equipment by JLT prior to delivery. In these cases a unique part number will be issued for the supplied image and stored for repetitive business.
