Transformative Agenda

The IASC Transformative Agenda is a series of concrete actions that will visibly transform the way in which our humanitarian community responds to a crisis. It focuses on improving the timeliness and effectiveness of our collective response through better leadership and coordination structures and our accountability to people we seek to serve.

The primary mechanism for inter-agency coordination of humanitarian assistance, The Inter-Agency Standing Committee was established in 1992.

It consists of an executive level group known as The IASC Principals to make strategic decisions, a Working Group of senior representatives as well as Subsidiary Bodies and a Secretariat office.

The IASC principals is chaired by Under-Secretary-General for
