Areas you will study include statistical techniques and analysis and interpretation using Microsoft Excel. Marketing Principles Marketing Principles provides an overview of the marketing process and how it works within the Vietnamese and Asian business context. This course introduces methods used to cost, predict and/or analyse information related to the resources needed by business. You will understand the function and role of management in the contemporary business environment, perform appropriate calculations to logically support your recommendations for business problems, and prepare a range of reports for management and other internal stakeholders to facilitate planning, control and decision making. Financial Accounting & Analysis This course develops your understanding of how the double entry accounting system works and the basic principles of fnancial accounting. You will develop the skills needed to identify, understand, and apply basic fnancial accounting principles to record business transactions using manual and computerised accounting systems. You will learn how to prepare various accounting reports and develop your ability to analyse, reason logically, understand and interpret basic fnancial accounting concepts. Cost Analysis and Applications This course develops your understanding of the concepts and skills in management accounting and business. This course also develops your skill to analyse a number of business decisions and problems. Accountancy Core CoursesAccounting, Behaviour and Organisations This course provides you with an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the management accounting tools and techniques. You will focus on the issues related to designing management accounting systems that support strategy and organisational structure. Particular emphasis is given to the role of performance-based measures and rewards within contemporary management accounting systems, and the behaviours these factors may encourage. Company Law This course will enable you to develop a basic understanding of the legal principles related to and the regulations for registered companies. You will develop the ability to understand and interpret relevant legal principles of company law and how to apply these principles to hypothetical legal situations, to critically analyse legal problems, conduct effective legal research and how to write in a precise manner using appropriate legal terminology. Performance Analysisand Simulations This course provides you with the experience of being in a team that manages and operates a company. With your team, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and the operational decision making of your company in a simulated marketplace. Within the Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) program, you may choose from two options: Four (4) general electives from any other program offered at RMIT VietnamA business minor comprising four (4) established courses within a business discipline. Business minors are offered for the following: Business Information Systems Economics & Finance Economics Entrepreneurship International Business Management MarketingBy selecting four (4) general electives, you can freely explore other disciplines and select courses independently. However, if youwish to extend your expertise in a specifc business area, you can undertake a minor comprising four (4) courses that are pre-selectedfor a specifc specialisation.knowledge and skills covered in your studies to date, and your team will be expected to use a range of business performance evaluation techniques, accounting reports and customer survey data in its decision making. Financial Accounting Theory This course develops your ability to examine various theories to help you understand the role of fnancial accounting in decision making. It assists you by explaining why and how entities make decisions concerning disclosure of fnancial information in the absence of complete regulation. This course helps you apply accounting theories to a contemporary workplace situation. It helps you understand the growth of accounting around the world and how cultural and other local factors impact the development of accounting and Accounting Standards. A range of accounting theories are examined and applied to contemporary fnancial accounting issues, including: the historical cost model, alternative accounting models, conceptual framework projects, debt contracts, executive remuneration, and sustainability reporting. Having a strong foundation of consulting business situation through organizing and analysing data, I chose the Accountancy faculty at RMIT Vietnam to develop my skills and learn more ethical values that an accountant should always keep in mind. This major is truly amazing in widening my expertisewith accounting principles and applications, and thorough understandingof legal system.
