Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem at Chitkara University
It all starts with an idea - an invention backed by research. Research at Chitkara
University is never limited to theoretical but is followed by development and
commercialization if possible. Dedicated team of researchers, mentors add-on to the
spirit of innovation in the campus. Various events, competitions, workshops like
Novate, Anveshan, Inventors on Hill Top, Patent Filing Competition are the regular
exercises of the University to foster innovation.
In the past few decades the youth of India has shown a signicant interest in adopting
entrepreneurship as a career. The sense of developing a company and owning it, is
what the youth of India is aiming at. We at Chitkara University help execute the plan of
action of the ideas as soon as student is clear with the concepts. With a dynamic team
of start-up minded scholars the entire system at Chitkara University promotes culture
of innovation and entrepreneurship. Whether you are an early-stage startup or a
wanna-be founder, there is a dedicated team of experts to facilitate all your
entrepreneurial needs, starting from ling patents to preparing you for investor pitches.
Apart from a team there is a tight-knit community of entrepreneurs, angel investors,
start-up mentors & advisors that regularly engage in various events and competitions
to foster entrepreneurship within the region. Mostly informal, these events serve as
networking platforms to connect people to the right opportunities. While events like
Start-up Day & Start-up OPD are aimed at mentoring the student start-ups on campus,
'celebrity events' like ProtoHack & UN Inux are meant to connect regional start-ups to
potential investors.
And to top it all, there are 200+ happy employees working in 35 start-ups at Chitkara
Innovation Incubator, handholding each other with a positive mindset. Because around
here, it's not 'just' about academics, it's also about values, positive attitudes & fruitful
tie-ups.
