2. Protection against overloadThe relay is to be protected against overload and short- circuit by means of a semi- conductor fuse.

3. Protection against voltage transientsThe relay must be protected against voltage transients by mounting a varistor across the semiconductor.

4. Protection against excessive heatingThe relay must be protected effectively against excessive heating. Do not forget to apply conducting paste between relay and heatsink.
