As you may have heard, Claverham Adult Learning has joined the Adult College for Rural East Sussex (ACRES) and we are excited to be extending our provision of courses to Battle and the surrounding areas, as well as continuing to run many of the courses that you know and love. Claverham adult learning joining ACRES brings you lots of advantages: Access to a wide range of courses across rural East Sussex. Future course brochures which include all the courses offered in our areas - there may be some that are so tempting you will be willing to travel a little to get to them. Expansion of our offer of day time courses in and around Battle. Access to our virtual learning environment, and very shortly, on-line enrolments. We hope that you’ll find a course that interests you and that you’ll watch out for our future brochures. We look forward to meeting you on one of our courses very soon.

As you may have heard, Claverham AdultLearning has joined the Adult College for Rural East Sussex (ACRES) and we are excitedto be extending our provision of courses to Battle and the surrounding areas, as well ascontinuing to run many of the courses that you know and love. SO WHO ARE ACRES?ACRES was formed in 2005 by merging the adult education provision from a group of local community collegesto form one larger provider. It is run by a Board made up of the Principals from the local colleges and arepresentative of East Sussex County Council. The Chair of the Board is currently Mr Hugh Hennebry fromUckfield Community Technology College. ACRES offers courses in Crowborough, Hailsham, Heathfield, Uckfield,Wadhurst and now Battle.

HOW CAN I PAY? • Cheque – make cheques payable to East Sussex County Council. Please write the course code

on the reverse of the cheque.• Credit/Debit card• Cash (in person at our Uckfield office)• By instalments (see our website or ring us for details)Telephone enrolments can only be processed with payment by Credit/Debit card.

HOW DO I ENROL ON A COURSE?As soon as you receive this brochure you can enrol. All enrolments are takenon a ‘first come, first served’ basis and can only be processed with paymentand when all the relevant documentation and evidence has been provided.We can only accept learners aged 19 and above as at 31st August 2016.

FEESCourse fees are payable at enrolment. Where the fee for a single courseis more than £86 it can be paid in instalments.The first instalment is payable at enrolment with the further instalmentspayable on the 1st of the month following the start of the course bystanding order. All fees must have been paid by the end of the course.• Single course fees between £86 and £171 may be paid in three

instalments• Single course fees between £172 and £257 may be paid in three

instalments• Single course fees over £258 may be paid in four instalmentsPlease note: If you opt to pay by instalments, the total course fee ispayable in full should you withdraw from the course other than formedical reasons.Full terms and conditions can be found on our websitewww.acreslearning.org.uk
