Summary of Findings
Acer* C720 Chromebook with Intel® Celeron® Processor outperformed the Samsung* Chromebook with an ARM* processor in speed and battery life
• While using common classroom applications, users spent 45-50% less time waiting with the Acer C720 Chromebook.
• The Acer C720 Chromebook also provided 57% longer battery life (over 4 hours) without charge.

What Matters to Educators
The Acer* C720 Chromebook with an Intel® Celeron® processor offers significant advantages for classroom use:
• Classroom time is valuable, and the time that students spend waiting reduces the time they spend actively engaged in learning.
• “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” Waiting for computers to complete tasks encourages off-task behavior, and re-engaging students can be a challenge.
• Extended battery life reduces the disruptions to learning that occur with uncharged devices
