updated websiteArwyn Bailey has been working hard on mapping out a new site. We hope for the new site to be operational around the end of May or the beginning of June.

Already the committee is using the business social network called LinkedIn as a means of the committee communicating with one another. Members will soon be able to communicate via LinkedIn. You wll be notified how to access this facility shortly.

ACFA also has a newly designed page on facebook that can be found by typing ACFA into the search bar of facebook. You can now follow ACFA and our tweets on twitter at @ACFA_UK

Each Monday, members are able to dial in to offer support to your association through prayer.

You will also be able to pray for your fellow members, submit your own topics for prayer and receive prayer for yourself and your own situation.

We would also like to hear of any answers to prayer requests. This service is entirely confidential.

Opening times:The prayer-line is now open, to members of ACFA, on Monday morning’s from 09:15 am through to 10:00 am.

Facilitation:Steve Rolls is the facilitator of the prayer-line and he enjoys this task throughly.

Test run successful:As a Committee we have been piloting this facility over the past couple of weeks and we have found that the prayer-line works very well indeed.

You can can ring in for just a couple of minutes or so; or for the full forty five. It is up to you, but we ask that you consider joining us as often as you are able to, as your prayers count.

Ring the prayer-line:Please dial:

• 0844 848 4840• enter the room

number: 813313#

We look forward to you joining us in prayer.

Q: What are you passionate about?A brand new “ACFA Contributor’s PR Guide” has been produced, and it is available for download on the ACFA web site.

This leaflet has been designed to ensure that from now on we will have a uniform style and approach to our articles and Press Releases. It is essential that all articles or press releases sent out in the name of ACFA are signed off by one of the designated members of the PR committee. Are you concerned—or passionate—about

something in the financial sector? ACFA has some regular contributors, but we would welcome some more. If you would like to think about

writing, on any topic, for ACFA, then please let us know by contacting Aidan Vaughan by email at: [email protected]

Andrew Boyd, our professional journalist, will be offering some training to those who are interested in dealing with the media. Please let us know if attending a media training day is of interest to you by contacting Aidan.

profileIn each newsletter I intend to profile a different member of the committee. This month I have asked Arwyn Bailey to give us his profile.

Profile spotlight:I entered the financial services industry via a subsidiary of a retail bank. This was nigh on 20 years ago!

I started my own company in January 1996. I have seen many changes in this industry, and now I generally specialise in advising on retirement planning, equity release and long term care.

I have written a book called: Ouch! that hurts, regarding the credit crunch. I am currently in the final stages of my novel.

Occasionally I preach at my church. I also lead the 10 - 14ish year old’s:Supernovas.
