Avenal Community Health Center was originally established asan RHC affiliated with a local hospital district In 1992 theclinic struggled to survive when many small hospitals weregoing out of business In 1999 the clinic site was relocated andbecame an FQHC look-a-like In 2007 the clinic was awardeddesignation as an FQHC with funding from the Bureau ofPrimary Health Care ACHC has been serving the Communityfor over16 years
