Festival Helpers We are setting up a

stall for The Henry

Lawson Festival, making and selling

donuts. We are going to need a lot

of helpers on the day. I am asking if

you can give up an hour of your time

to come and help us please?? All

the money raised goes back to

buying resources for your children

at school. If you can help out,

please contact me at school and let

me know which hour suits you best

and I will put you on the roster.

It’s only 1 hour!

THE HENRY LAWSON FESTIVAL

Our students will be performing plays for The

Henry Lawson Festival this Thursday, 4th June,

at the High School Hall. The timetable is below.

3/4J and 3/4H will be performing at the concert this Friday, 5th June.

Mrs Johnson and Miss Hunter will meet the students at the hall

entrance by 7.00pm.

We will also be involved in the street procession this Saturday, 6th

June. The theme for the street parade is “Our Kiwi Mates”. We are

going to dress our float in this theme and we would like as many

students as possible to dress up with the same theme, or they can

wear black and white clothes. We will meet outside the Cub Scout

Hall at 1.00pm ready for the march at 1.30pm. Parents can collect

their children at the end of the parade from Lachlan Fertilisers.

An appreciative audience of family

and friends are more than welcome

– admission is free.

As a courtesy to the students

performing on stage, we would request that class groups and

audience members enter and

leave the hall only between plays, and also be very quiet

outside the hall when waiting

to enter.

Winter Uniform It is starting to get colder so we need to keep our

students warm. Students should be wearing the sky

blue sloppy joe or one of our navy jackets. If you want

to buy a jacket without a logo that’s fine but it needs to

be navy blue. In winter students can also wear gloves,

a beanie or scarf, but they have to be Navy blue. If they

are not navy blue they cannot be worn. I would also like

parents to purchase black shoes as a part of our school

uniform. It looks very ordinary when students are not

wearing the correct uniform. It’s fine to wear joggers on

a Friday as that is our sports day or for special activities.

I would appreciate your support with this.

Excursion Reminder Students in Stage 3 (Yrs 5 & 6) need to bring in their

$100 deposit for the excursion to Sydney/Wollongong

ASAP, as it is now overdue. Full payment is due to be

paid by Friday 9th October.

Please note that there was an error in last week’s

newsletter regarding the Stage 2 Excursion deposit,

this is not due until Monday 22nd June, with full

payment to be made by Friday 21st August.

Reports Reports for Semester 1 will go home on Thursday 25th June.
