Above said Soil samples we are dispatched to the ICRISAT soil sample results we were

received Soil health cards and same were distributed concern farmers to know their land soil

status.

As per Analysis reports soils are poor in organic carbon content and low in Nitrogen, medium to

high in phosphorus, medium to high in Potassium content. Micro Nutrients Zinc, Boron, Sulpur

,Manganeese ,Iron, Copper are medium to high in some soils and low to medium in some soils of

Proposed villages .

Attended to convergence review meeting at Dist., level

As a partner N.G.O. we were attended review meeting which was conducted by Addl.Joint

collector-II in his chamber with all line departments key officials regarding review and planning

the APPSM activities in pilot site-I of Penukonda and Kothachervu mandals which are proposed

villages at Ananthapuramu on 17.06.2015, In this meeting Addl.Joint Collector-II has decided

interaction meeting with selected farmers of the APPSM pilot site (Penukonda and

Kothachervu) on 24.06.2015..But it was postponed date to be not yet finalized so far. But we

are ready to organize the interaction meeting when received instructions from the Dist.,

authorities.

During the your visit that is 18th and 19th June-2015 and concerned staff visited compost

making units and organized farmers meeting at Bandlapalli village to give the orientation on

Compost making with Madhyam Culturre and also addressed by you sir about the APPSM

objectives and utilization of Modern Technologies’ of the Agri., Particularly BBF and given a

Demo as usage of the Tropyculter at Kondampalli village.

Interaction meeting of Govt. officials and other with farmers

As per Collective dissecion of the Dist., officials and facilitation NGO, we were organized

interaction meeting with Farmers on 08.07.2015 at Kondampalli Village of Penukonda Mandal.

For this meeting nearly 400 farmers including 35 women farmers attended from

Kondampalli,Gonipeta,Settipalli,Bandlapalli and yerraballi villages of Penukonda and

Kothhachervu Mandals proposed pilot villages for APPSM(Rythu Kosam) for this meeting

chaired by the Dist., Joint Collecter-II and Dist., Divisional Mandal level allied sector officials

attended and explained their schemes and utilization process many of the farmers interacted with

officials regarding schemes utilization and applied ,pending stages of this schemes for this

concerned officials clarified their doubts and Write down their processing stages for taking

further steps. This meeting started from by 11 AM, and completed by 4 PM .

After completion of the Meeting Dist., Joint Collector-II and other Dist., officials visited the

Madhyam Culture compost making units which were implementing farmers in Kondampalli

Village one of the farmer explained to them compost making steps on easy methods with in the

short period.

Aerobic Compost Making

Demos conducted on compost making by Dr.C.S.Pawar as with inception we are selected

farmers in 5 pilot villages of Penukonda and Kotthachervu mandals. The selected farmers doing

the exercise effectively and they said it is very easy method to make the compost it is very useful

to our lands to decrease the Chemical fertilizers and reduce the cultivation cost it is very

nutrition.

Feedback from the Aerobic Madhyam Culture usage farmers: - The Aerobic Madhyam Culture

1. It is very easiest method to prepare the Madhyam culture with our crop waste and also

we are reducing the agriculture productivity cost.

2. At present we are using Madhyam culture compost and reduced the Chemical

Fertilizers and pesticides.

3. As a result we were got more Quality yield than previous.

Case study on utilization of Bio fertilizer (Aerobic Madhya Culture)to

Economy the Agriculture

I Mr.P.Ramakrishna Reddy Kondampalli Village Ananthapuram Dist., Andhra Pradesh. I am

Medium farmer and depending on agriculture income I have two children one male and one female ,they

are studying in corporate colleges with support of Banks through educational loans. I was studied Inter

Mediate and dropped then involved in Agriculture profession. My basic income is from Agriculture and

livestock .

I am doing Agriculture since 1998 I have 10 acres of land from this irrigated land is 2 Acers through

bore well at present I am receiving 2 ½ inches water under irrigation extent growing crops are Paddy

,Chilies, Brinjal etc. from the starting of the cultivation utilizing the chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

But in my Agriculture profession not received good returns of the grown crops, because of pests and

dieses .

I was attended many Rythukosam awareness meetings on utilization of Bio- fertilizers to improve the

land health and decrease the agriculture cost. Particularly I am interested to prepare the organic manure

through Aerobic Culture .I was started preparation of Aerobic Culture with support of Rythukosam

programme (APPSM) NGO Staff.

Since July 2015 I was fully involved to make organic Manure with live stock and crop waste. At present

made a one tone manure and it was utilized for Chilli, Brijal crops extent of 0.50 cents, now the crop is

flowering stage since crop plantation I was not used any chemical fertilizers so crop cultivation cost was

reduced. Nearby farmers visited my crop field they were also inspired and they are doing organic manure

exercise with Aerobic culture. They said diseases very easily control and low cost healthy manure for

crops to decrease the agriculture cost. In future I am interested to make the manure in large scale with

my live stock and crop waste to increase the yields with low coast Agriculture. At present in my village

11 farmers are doing this type of exercise.

Demos

Khareif 2015-16

Demos conducted on compost making by C.S.Pawar as with inception we are 20 farmers selected

farmers doing the exercise effectively and they said it is very easy method to make the compost it is

very useful to our lands to decrease the chemical fertilizers and reduce the Ag.cost.

➢ Selected 20 Demo famers and given orientation on Demo plot concept and distributed

seed.

ICRISAT staff and SAMATHA Ngo staff selected the progressive Demo unit’s farmers and distributed

With the decision of our Chief functionary our organization has organized one stall at Chandhranna

Rythukosam programme at Kothachrvu in this stall we were displayed Rythukosam activity photographs

regarding Madyam culture ,Ground nut crop details this stall visited by Commissioner of Agri., Principle

Secretary of Agriculture and asked the Rythukosam achieved activities and distributed leaflets regarding

Rythukosam interventions in pilot villages and leaf lets has given to the state level officers and for this

event ICRISAT Staff Fakruddin and Sudeer Reddy also participated.

Farmer’s feedback on usage of Aquasap5X:- Aqua sap 5X is a bio-pesticide prepared by

seaweed and other. It is used especially for better flowering and plants and stems growth in

Vegetable crops.

Aqua sap 5X usage farmers are very happy by use of this they control the pesticides to their

crops and they got additional high quality yield.

Case study on Onion farmer under crop diversification

I Mr.Rama naik S/o.Dadu Naik Kondampalli Village ,Penukonda(M),Anantapur Dist.,A.P. My

family size wife and two male children they are studying in MPP School .My qualification is

just 6th class discontinued. I have an own house and having 2.04 irrigated land through bore well,

bore installed on 2007, With 350 feet at present water receiving 2 inches.

I was facing many problems in Agriculture profession because of I have no awareness on soil

testing seed treatment and fertilizer and pest management and water management other

Agriculture technology adoption .I am doing agriculture profession since 1999 but I am not

received any gains from the Agriculture. At present I am in the hands of money lenders.

I was attended Rythukosam Meetings which were conducted by NGO SAMATHA and I was

got awareness on crops diversification ,soil testing management and utilization of fertilizers and

seed selection and treatment pest management and like utilization of Drip Irrigation systems

and Sprinklers.

I have received idea from SAMATHA NGO staff regard crop diversification with full

management system like soil testing ,,seed selection , seed treatment fertilizers ,pest

management in this regard I was selected onion to grow in my irrigated land extent of 80 cents

First step I has taken soil testing and seed selection and seed treatment seed name Zindhal

Raised nursery in my own irrigated land with the advice of department applied 40 tractor loads

of Tank Slit Bio fertilizers applied 4 Bullock carts (8 Tones).

In this process adopted technologies like with convergence dept. of Horticulture. Regarding seed

selection and seed treatment and raising of nursery

Regarding re-plantation before land prepared with Bio-fertilizers tank silt with advice of

Department of Horticulture and then replanted onion Nursery at the age of 30 days. From now I

have taken necessary adopted technologies like water management pest management fertilizer

management with advise of dept.,of Horticulture and NGO SAMATHA from this impact I

received crop yield 75 tones in the extent of 80 cents .

Total expenditure for this from nursery raising to crop harvesting is Rs. 47500 and I received gross profit

Rs. 2,42,000 and net income Rs.1,92,000/- in the duration of 4 months (120 days) period this was good

received income first time from the agriculture with adoption of the crop diversification, adoption of the

technologies with support of line departments and NGO . So I have learned lesson from this crop like

seed selection seed treatment adoption fertilizer and pesticide and water management. Now I am free

from money lenders. In future I am interested on crop diversification methods with proper technologies.

From this impact nearby farmers are interested on crop diversification methods to get the high yield crops

with adoption of technologies.

in Kharief 2015-16.

Rythumela Programme:- Rythumela Programme which was conducted by Department

of Agriculture in that event one stall allotted to Rythukosam programme in that stall we were organised

photo gallery of Rythukosamn activity particularly Aerobic Madhyam Culture Compost making demo

conducted with Shedder Machine. Local Penukonda MLA B.K.Parthasarathi Garu visited the stall and

suggested to the farmers to use the Madhya culture compost to reduce the Agriculture cost.

3. Community Health Centers Sanitation

This year our organization has been implemented above said titled programme in Community

Health Center (CHC),Penukonda with the support of Vidhya Vidhana Parisath,Govt.of Andhra

Pradesh . Form this programme we were oopinted sanitation workers on the contract basis and

we were given training to them on maintenance of Sanitation systems in above said

CHC,Penukonda . We were Appointed 20(10 Male + 10 Female) workers who have knowledge,

hospital sanitation activities. And we were given Training with the support of resources persons

in our training hall on sanitation management.

We were regularly monitored all Hospital Wards including toilets and urinals and both rooms

with the involvement of the Hospital development Committee. On the satisfactory of the work of

sanitation workers we (facilitation NGO, Hospital Development community) passed the

contingent salary when concerned department released and payment orders.

As a facilitation NGO Regularly monitoring the water and sanitation Management practices by

the Appointed workers if any problems on the particular issues we were intimated to the higher

authorities to provide better practices.

From this experience we were implemented above said programme in the CHC very effectively with the

support of hospital development committee doctor and sanitation workers. This programme will be

continued for the next year also.

4. Community Managed Seed system (CMSS)

Programme objectives

Seed Mobilization and Distribution to farming Community with the support of the Mana

Vithanna Kendra’s(MVKK) not to depend the other Agencies for Quality seed.(agencies and

department of agriculture

To Adopting the Govt., Schemes and Seed mobilization for Breeder seed /Foundation

Seed/Certified Seed.

• Seed certification process with Department APSC Agency-Kurnool

• Mobilised 300 farmers and distributed 300 NAVADHANYA Kits to farmers in

Somandepalli and Penukonda Mandals .
