ACIDS-acids are those chemical

substances which have a sour taste. The acids

present in plant materials and animals

are called organic acids.

The acid prepared form the minerals of the earth are called

minerals acids . Hydrochloric acids,

sulphuric acid and nitric acid.

Please note that- the carbonic acid is also a minerals acid . But it is a weak acid. All the

acid changes the color of blue litmus to red.

BASES Bases are those

chemical substanceswhich have a bitter taste. All the bases

change the color of red litmus to blue.
