Day 1: Control Set-up

Today, we will be testing three known substances to create a color scale to compare unknowns tomorrow in our experimental group.

Red Cabbage Juice Indicator

Read the ENTIRE strip and match it to the closest number. (check BOTH SIDES OF THE BOX.) Be sure to hold the strip with the colors down, and do not touchthe color boxes with your fingers!

Day 2: Experimental Group

Today, you will test substances of unknown pH. Using your knowledge from the testing of knowns yesterday, you will determine the pH of the unknown substances.
