• He was a politically active businessman, who became interested in Affirmative Action after hearing about a family whose son had been rejected from medical school. He saw this as racial prejudice and has since been an advocate of Anti-Affirmative Action.

• In 1995, Jennifer graduated Anderson high school with a 3.8 GPA. After not being accepted to University of Michigan, she investigated to why she was not accepted. She discovered that she was denied because the school was admitting people differently because of race. She sued the school!

• Gratz’s case went all the way to the Supreme Court where she won! She was finally accepted. She is now an advocate for equal rights now matter race or gender.
