VITTORIO ROSSIARCHITETTO
Nato a Treviso, si è laureato all’Istituto Universitario di Ve-nezia nel 1955.Ha frequentato i corsi di Carlo Scarpa, Franco Albini, Giu-seppe Semonà, Bruno Zevi, Saverio Muratorie e Luigi Pic-cinato.
Dal 1956 inizia l’attività di libero professionista realizzan-do opere nel campo dell’edilizia residenziale, industriale e commerciale, del restauro e del design.
Dal 1996 è Titolare della Cattedra di “Cultura Tecnologi-ca della Progettazione” affidata all’Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia per il corso di laurea breve di Indu-strial Design con sede a Treviso.

Born in treviso, received his degree at the University of Venice in 1955.Attended classes of Carlo Scarpa, Franco Albini, Giusep-pe Semonà, Bruno Zevi, Saverio Muratorie and Luigi Pic-cinato.
Started his activity in 1956 developing his works in the field of residential, industrial and commercial engineering, from renovation to design.
From 1996 he is the holder of the professorship of “ Cul-ture and tecnologie of design” at the University of Archi-tecture of Venice.

BREVE NOTA CRITICA SU PROGETTO ACROS
“è opinione diffusa, di evidente origine romantica, che le idee che sostanziano tutte le forme dell’Arte siano estra-nee alla coscienza dell’uomo: fantasmi fluttuanti nell’aura culturale che ci circonda. Divino dono dell’artista è co-glierle ed elaborarle costringendole all’interno di una per-sonale concezione del mondo.Questa preziosa e rara facoltà dell’artista passa sotto il nome di “ispirazione poetica”. Io, al contrario, sono con-vinto che le idee creative siano il risultato del cumulo di innumerevoli esperienze, suggestioni e osservazioni che costituiscono il patrimonio di cultura che ogni essere umano possiede nei diversi gradi di intensità.è da quel mondo di pensieri sedimentali che va estrapola-ta l’idea generatrice delle forme.Da progettista dei mobili ACROS non so dire, con certez-za, da quale impulso ideale sia stato sollecitato nell’imma-ginare la loro fisionomia figurativa.Forse dal concetto cartesiano della “geometria” quale divi-na misura dell’Universo; forse per gemmazione delle ope-re, da me molto studiate e ammirate, di Gerrit Rietveld; forse semplicemente quale omaggio alle ossessioni me-tafisiche di Josef Albers o di Mathias Ungers.Quel che so con certezza é che all’interno del vorticoso magma dei miei pensieri, accumulati in tanti e tanti anni, c’erano anche quel tavolo e quel mobile contenitore”.
ARCHITECT’S THOUGHT
It is commonly known, with a clear romantic origin, that all ideas that contribute to form any kind of art, are alien to human conscience: ghosts generated in the cultural aura that surrounds us. Divine gift of the artist is being able to grasp and elaborate ideas forcing them in a personal co-gnition of the world. This precious and unique ability of artists is known as “poetical inspiration”. Personally, under a totally different perspective. I’m convinced that creative ideas are the re-sult of the accumulation of our numerous experiences, emotions and observations that form our culture, owned in different levels of intensity by every human being.It is from this world of sedimentary thoughts that the form-generating idea must be extracted. As the designer of ACROS items I cannot say, with cer-tainty, from which ideal impulse their figurative forms have been created. Maybe from the Cartesian concept of “geometry” con-sidered the divine measurement of the universe, maybe by an ideal sublimation of Gerrit Rietveld’s masterpieces, which I deeply admired and studied, maybe as a simple homage to all metaphysic obsessions of Josef Albers or Mathias Ungers. What I know with certainty is that inside the whirlwind of magma of my thoughts, gathered in many years, there were also That table and That storage unit.
