•Here at Prairie View, we love to showcase great student work. Throughout the year you will be noticing decorative bulletin boards all over the school. The purpose of the board is to address standards and show how students met those standards. This allows you to know exactly what is going on in the classroom.
•The boards show the connection between a student’s work, the standard the work is to meet, and the assessment used to decide when the work is placed on the board. Only work that meets, or exceeds the standard is chosen to be on the board. Also, only a few pieces of work are chosen to showcase in the hallways. This encourages quality work and dedication to a finished product.
•More work will be shown throughout the classroom!
•We encourage you to come check out the quality work your child is doing!

Backpacks and FoldersPlease be sure that your child has their
backpack and folder every day. This is a good habit to get into now. We will soon be
sending home readers and these will be expected to go back and forth to school
every day.
We ask that you volunteer as much as you can in and out of the classroom. We love to have parents come up and read with
the children and your children love to see you here. Also, there is always help
needed in the office for other things as well.
